Economy picking. You can probably play those lines using strict alternate picking (Steve Morse is good that way). Except that kind of technique is really hard to develop.

I like Jimmy Bruno's no nonsense frankness when he tells the story about his career. Clearly, and no BS type of guy.
He was a wonderful interview and the Fret Dojo students all loved his private masterclass that he gave them. Terrific guy!
I wish you would come to Detroit Jazz fest youd be welcomed with honors thanks for this video . Amazeing playing
So cool! Been watching Jimmy's channel. Awesome.

Jimmy is so calm and well behaved here !
He's quite the character, as well as an amazing player and genuinely nice guy.
🤣 A rarity nowadays. Hes a grumpy old man now but you can tell that hes a good guy.
Interesting to hear Jimmy say he knows Barry Greene.
1:30 Frank Zappa and Joe Pass at the table !!!
He tells nonpopular facts and isn't a snob like many so called artists.

He probably dodged a career bullet by not being influenced early on by the popular rock guys.

Clint Strong plays bebop with a lot of alternate picking. Similar to Hank Garland in style.

Yes my fault. I wasn't expecting him to play (glad he did!) so I didn't catch that before we started. We switched it about half way through.
