    I have mixed feelings about grease dries out after several months and seems to attract grit, grime, and clutch material ending up acting like sand paper or lapping compound.

    Nice video. Any updates? My 6MT has the squeal or chirp noise. I just started to do some research about it.

      I've had my 06 for 5 years now. It was chirping since the day I bought it. I was going to change it soon after I bought the truck but decided to let it go. Hasn't caused any issues yet, but now that I've put 110k miles on it, I figured it's probably due for a clutch replacement anyway. I'll be installing this sleeve kit whenever I do the clutch. The reviews sound good but after seeing how it is just held on by 4 detent screws, I'm worried the sleeve might come loose over time. I've never had good luck with small detent screws holding tight. I might put red locktite on instead.

    I missed the part where the chainsaw came into play!

    Did this fix it? I’m considering a new bellhousing or possibly the hydraulic assembly to fix mine.

      It fixes the bell housing portion by adding a stainless sleeve that the new (different sized) bearing will ride on.

      @@thetaco-yotashop6524 but did it fix it long term? Have you had any squeaks?

    • @thetaco-yotashop6524
      @thetaco-yotashop6524  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@levikender4820 No. But there are other parts in the bell housing that can cause squeaks or other parts in the clutch pedal that can cause squeaks as well.

      Google tacoma world and go to the search bar there. There's lots of info on that website for what it could possibly be, you can also try google and if those first two things don't help you out I'm sure shops in your area would be willing to take a look at it for you. We can't diagnose something that isn't in the shop. Sorry for the inconvenience. Good luck in your search.

      is the squeak inside the cab at the 3rd pedal or does it sound more like coming from outside down under the rig?

    Did the chrip come back yet?

      Define which chirp. haha. sometimes its the detent ball/yoke on the release bearing making the noises. other times its the release bearing... in the end to save having to go back in and do free labor because the noise is still there, I always do rear main seal(if it needs it), clutch kit, flywheel, release bearing fix kit, and yoke/detent ball. Basically, I do everything in the bell housing that requires moving the transmission off the vehicle.

    Way to much grease on throw out bearing the extra will get all over clutch.
