- In this video I start off at my hotel Ceyloni Lake Residency and make my way to the lake of Kandy. I try some olives there for a 'local price'. After that I avoid some touts and make my way to the Sacred Tooth temple.
After some exploration of the temple I went for a quick iced cappucino and an almond cake.
The next step was to go to the markets of Kandy and on the way I avoided a french speaking tout, bought some lottery forms and eventually I made my way to the Buddha statue.
At the buddha statue I tried some local drinks and saw how the butter lamps that are used in the temple were made.
I did a temple tour at Sri Maha Bodhi Maha Viharaya and afterwards went back to the same shop to try some local sweets.

Tim, try the food at bake house and cakes at queen's pastry shop,both should be opposite the lake. Suggesting the two places because I saw a video shared by travel vloggers who were recently in Kandy and had lunch at bake house and cakes at queen's pastry shop . They gave 10 out of 10 for the lunch and after having the cakes they said they could hear the angels singing in heaven. So don't miss it.

Belgium does not seem to be the poorest country in Europe at the moment. Belgium is very dear to me with maNY reason😍. Belgium Chocolate is my favorite and I think it is the purest and most preferred category of chocolate combined with yours. I also love the Belgian team as a football fan⚽⚽. Sorry for the inconvenience you had to face from the "hustlers". Kandy is my hometown. I was quite disappointed by the treatment by these people. But I can vouch there are so many nice people who are genuinely good and won't take advantage from tourists. Hope you will only meet such genuinely good people in the future 💯😃
Another thing. It's better to visit religious places in the morning or in the evening when the sun hasn't heated up the ground since it's necessary to remove shoes before entering the premises🌞🚶

If the wifi speed is major concern of yours, when you book a hotel, ask the hotel that whether your internet connection is fibre optics or just 4G.
Because in sri lanka only usable wi-fi for upload videos and stuff providing thorough fibre optics cables. The infrastructure is still developing but most urban ares have fibre now. In rural areas not so much. So it's important to check the hotel's internet provider is fibre or just they using metered 4g access points.
