Me and the wife went to a family pond yesterday evening and my wife was just killing the bluegill, then I hear- I hooked something bigger than a bluegill! A beautiful flat started pulling drag. Took a good bit to get in since she was using 8lb mono. The line broke just as I grabbed it! Nothing compared to this, but so much fun watching her and helping land it. 😊 Keep em coming! ✌️
Sometimes, even having a monster flathead on the line is way better than having no fish on the line. And for all the haters about the fish that Josh accidently snagged.. schitt happens. Another good video. Congrats on the tank, even if it was an accidental hook. Coupdnt help but notice how much of a kick you guys got out of that tiny flathead. Smallest flathead I've caught was about 7 inches, no joke.

Crazy big catfish. I’m assuming this was up in NE? I grew up about 30 miles south of auburn just across the state line in sabetha Kansas. I also caught a 28 lb flathead on a swank 66x last year in the spring. It was crazy. Still an incredible fish for y’all, I’m sure the fish swirled on it and caught the trebles in the rear end.

Did you figure out why that herd of nervous, jumpy fish put on that remarkable leaping show? Are there Asian carp infesting that stream/river? Sorry your experience wasn’t top notch, but last year you had a superb time. I remember you pulling a giant yellowish catfish out of the foam.

That's why I use stronger line, so when I fight something I don't have to keep paying same price as a weaker line just to keep replacing it after a couple fights, I keep catching 50 inch cats left and right with the same line over and over, I see difference but not at all enough to let go of a beast like that, she'll hold for sure.. also why aren't yall reeling? Having fun fighting it ehh? 😂 fishing is awesome!! Keep it up y'all
