Man, resell is a bit crazy on these (specially my size 9.5). After weeks of research, somehow I managed to catch a $110 deal on eBay for a lightly worn pair so I thought it was worth the shot - they seem to be worn just a couple times. I NEVER (and I mean NEVER) buy second-hand pairs, but I’m all in for this colorway so it was pretty much a now-or-never scenario for me. My Pumps are finally on their way home!
You just might have changed my mind, bred. I had planned on never buying another pump retro until they fixed the pump mechanism and hexalite. As they have gotten gradually worse over the years. But you saying the bladder works has me ready to pull the trigger. And you was right about reebok being bigger than Jordan's. Reebok pump was selling more than its three nearest competitors combined, by 3-1. Even before the pump released in 89 Reebok had been the biggest sneaker seller since 87. 1994 was the last time Reebok was on top. So they had a good run 87-94 on top. They said forgetting about all other Reebok products at the time. If the pump shoe was it's own company, it would've been the 3rd largest sports company in the world. 2 billion dollars a year those shoes was bringing in. They sold tens of millions of pairs. That was their downfall, because they over saturated the market with dozens of different pump models. Great pickup though bred. The materials do look insanely good. Even though this isn't an original colourway, it is designed to look like a vintage pair.👍👍
I love this pair. There staying in the personal rotation. I know they aren't an OG, but it's that silhouette I coveted soooo bad and Reebok really delivered on the quality. I love the facts you know about Pumps. I feel like they're forgotten about in a lot of ways, but you remember it like I do... These were THE SHOE to get. Agree, I got my chalk Omni Zones and they really look great on foot. Much better than I even thought they would. I noticed the tongue on the Chalks was taller (more authentic) than the pure whites. Also the Chalks ran a bit shorter in the toebox (the most recent pumps Nerf, Juun J etc have run shorter in toebox length (and maybe a little narrower) for me than the pure whites. So my suggestion is going with the larger of your size range on recent pumps (I was 11 on whites, 11.5 on all other recent pumps). I like the hang tag a lot, the Pure whites didn't have that and it was missed by me. I bought 2 pairs of Chalks to compare and picked the one with less waves in the leather. . .the leather is soft, and will wrinkle in time, but I prefer to be the one to do that! 😀
my cousin and coworker got them. i wanted these but man i can't cop everything. if i didn't got the ald 550 navy which very close in colors these would definitely would have been cop. wanted the orange nerf collaboration and the jurassic park that released this year sucks having to make decisions. its all good happy to own what i have always humbled and feel blessed. great review brother. yeah they look like they came from the 80s early 90s. ✊🙏

@@matgomesp there is another white n orange that released. But I think it only released in Japan and south America. It was the one Dennis Rodman wore at the pistons. It was released about 5 or 6 months ago, and I'd been waiting for it to release here. Don't know why it hasn't.
