  • At last! I managed to get the ZXR on to the type of roads it was made for. It has been quite a long journey for this bike but it was worthwhile. It was a learning experience for me as the bike handles so very differently from my normal bikes. The trip was 260km and when I got off the bike I felt fine, which surprised me. What the videos do not show well was the steep gradients on the route. On several occasions, when braking down hill the rear would go very light and move around. Great day riding.

Thanks for the comment mate. I am ok with what I am. Road is not track.

Then why are you riding on the wrong side of the road at a 3/10th pace? I could see it if you were on the limit…. You’d get so much more from your bike with a little instruction. I’m not digging on you, trying to be productive here.

That road is one of the most dangerous roads. The video does not show it well but it is uphill, downhill. Off camber, covered in dust, gravel and mud. There is no room for error. I am on the right side of the road so not sure what you mean. Cows, monkees and multiple other wildlife just add to the fun. Indeed on that trip I went around the corner and there was a cow in the road. Add to all those things, brand new tyres, and never having written it around bends before meant things were taken at a moderate pace. Many of the bends are so sharp that 40kph is the maximum even if you are on an R6. Videos do not show what it is really like. They never do. The video is about the bike.
