It’s my third year gardening and first time really struggling to get much growth 😅 I don’t know what is happening, but many things that were lush last year like kale and lettuces are just not wanting to grow this year. We make our own compost from food scraps and still, it didn’t seem to help. But onward and forward! We do not give up🙌 Hoping you get an abundance for the rest of the season! Also, Katya I’m glad you are getting hormones checked. I had extremely low progesterone a few years ago which resulted in difficulty conceiving and when we did conceive I had two losses, due to very low progesterone levels.. once my progesterone levels were taken care of (with Vitex supplementation), I was able to conceive and carry our miracle baby, second boy. I pray you find answers💛🙏
How has your garden been doing in the last month, any improvements? We already needed to harvest our potatoes now because the plants we're dying. Last year we didn't harvest until a month later or so. We thank God for the things that do grow, but the vast majority is like you say, just not growing. We've heard it from quite a lot of people, also in Norway, that this season was a weird one. Hopefully next will be more fruitful :) Thank you for sharing your experience with the progesterone. For the last two months or so, every morning and evening worship, Elionai is praying for twins, a baby boy and a baby girl 😬
I tried to have a garden a couple years ago. I killed everything that I planted. I wasted so much money & time. I gave up & bought some chickens instead. I don’t eat eggs. I decided that maybe I could trade eggs for vegetables with someone who has a garden. So, I began giving eggs to my neighbors, but unfortunately, no one has offered me any vegetables 😔I guess that folks don’t believe it’s necessary to reciprocate🤦🏼♀️
Inside we now primarily have fake plants, exactly because of what you say, we keep managing to kill the real ones haha. And reading your chicken experience, I think we may just try the garden again next year 😬😂

If you don’t have enough compost, grow a cover crop instead! :)
Oh yeah, that's smart! We'll look into that, what works good as cover crop in the Norwegian climate.
