For the moving, the most expensive is property purchasing, probably find a house for rental is a better idea than house purchasing first, money saving! And have to handle other stuffs e.g Furniture, home renovation / design, etc.

Maybe not a culture shock as such but it took some time to adjust to the weather!

Hey Kay! That's awesome, it was quite easy for myself (however this was over three years ago). I would recommend keeping up to date on the Australian governments website regarding visas etc. Best of luck!

Hi! I’m planning to venture out to the country from the States towards the end of the year. I’ve been in TX most of my life so I’m used to the heat (although it might be a different type of heat). Being able to work for anywhere I’m flexible as far as dates & cities go. Do y’all have any recommendations? Genuinely asking. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated. I’ve between Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. Also, if y’all know the current state of the country I’d love to hear about it. I’m doing so much research before I relocate.

Really up in the air if I get a seat or not.😂 1. No seat. Sit on the floor. 2. Get a pop up tent to stay in. 3. No job? What bills do you pay in a pop up tent.😂 when you see a group bbqing go have a chat with them friendly guys and they may throw you a snag off the barbie.😊

I’m planning on moving to Melbourne on my own shortly, what advice can you give?
You are moving just in time for Summer! I'd recommend checking out local Facebook groups to Melbourne for places to live, social circles, activities, jobs etc. There are a few for Sydney / Bondi which are super useful!
How much money did you save up to do this ?
Tushar Uppal hey, not too much! Luckily I had a friend who I could stay with. My recommendation would be to budget for your lifestyle... type of accommodation / rent, food, travel and entertainment.
