Found your channel while looking for stories to listen to while sleeping. Now I save them for listening during the day while I'm puttering -- the commentary, especially, is way too interesting to sleep through.
I love your readings and EF Benson too. I want to compliment you on how much your narration has improved since you first started reading, and I often listen to a narrative to go to sleep to, most especially a story I already know. You are so right about the performance aspect of book reading. Thank you so much for your excellent work. ❤️
i hope you find something about an hour long on here. i think there are quite a few. i do the compilations because others say they like them to go on for hours and hours . otherwise i’m at the mercy of the author
Thank you. I'm at work and have just finished this story which I started a few days ago. Now going to listen to another one from you. Thank you again for taking the time to do all the stories on your channel .
Your voice is soothing enough to sleep to but you’re right, the stories are not subconsciously ideal. Hahah. I listen to magpie audio Sherlock Holmes stories to sleep. Can you try a (sherlock) Holmes book? Or are any Agatha christie in the public domain? I love listening to you talk in general. Thanks as always ❤❤❤❤
@@ClassicGhost I'll have to listen to that one in the daylight--silly as it sounds, that story terrified me as a kid! Granted, my first encounter with the Hound of the Baskervilles was an episode of the TV show Wishbone, and the visuals and sound effects were a little too effective on my young imagination. (I don't know if Wishbone ever aired in the UK, but it was a children's show where a Jack Russell terrier would imagine himself as the protagonist in various famous works of literature.)
Tony, you pass the neighnour test. I would be proud tp have you as one AMD i would borrow, lend the lawnmower knowing i would get it back. Thats how high my esteem is
I love this story, the build up is fantastic, but I always found the ending disappointing. Spoilers below: “And it was . . . THE GRAVE OF A PERSON WHO COMMITTED SUICIDE!” Like wow ok that’s the most catholic ending to a story I’ve ever heard. That’s not scary that’s just sad. But no story is perfect ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is fantastically read! Love it.
Brilliant story too,

I don't remember it but according to Wikipedia it was on Nickelodeon here. I'd progressed more onto things like Saved By The Bell by that time :)

I wanted to know why the woman appeared only in the narrator's dreams and what she meant by when she told him that she had been waiting for him.
I dont know....i feel like im missing something.
I think this may have been one of the first classic ghost stories I heard on TH-cam and it's still one of my very favourites ❤
Thank you, Tony!
Yes, it was Episode 2, but I re-recorded it with better sound quality.
