Robbie Knievel (Evil's just as crazy son) jumps and then crashes at the Spa Resort and Casino in beautiful sunny downtown Palm Springs California in 2015.
I had the great honor of being Robbie's neighbor for a short time he was a good man and a friend of mine. There was nothing made up about Robbie. Rest in peace old buddy I love you man
Who chooses a location for a jump where the landing area is so short it requires a wall of hay bales to stop you from entering the street and not a single EMT/Paramedic on scene. Just plain crazy.
David Gebo not true. I can barley walk to this day. I hit the hay wrong. I've crashed off bigger and faster jumps. I have a cage and 12 screws in my back from this jump. Two surgerys. Believe it or not this is the worst injury of my career.
he made teh jump and was not faked.. i think it was the hight and drop rate and robbie crushed some vertbre in his back.. that was a super high drop and teh spine cant take too many of those
Staged fake crash for dramatic effect.. Not one single paramedic or doctor came to help him. The same people at the landing ramp made a circle around him so no one could really see what happened. Most of them just looking round. Some still even drinking from their coffee cups. Great jump though.
He crashed because his foot came off the foot peg during the landing, freeze frame at :47 you can see he's off the peg away fom the brake but full on front brake. That and smashing his head on the handle bars during the landing I'm sure also didn't help not to mention his age.

I was there filming the same thing on the other side. it was fun to see at the moment but other than that I am happy to see it from the other side!

he didn't "crash". he made the jump - looks like he overshot the landing, even - but he had to lay it down in the hay bales.
Looked like another landing strip that was too short.

Crashed on purpose for drama, soft hay bails at low speed, High school kids playing contact sports take worse than that.
