the only band i like every single song from. evan is an absolute genius songwriter.
Pinegrove simply does NOT miss, I love how upbeat this one is, and the instrumentation is just so unique.
The song is great, but the instruments used are pretty standard.
“We landed in Orlando and the local time was 11:11” fucking HITS
Good morning Pine Nuts! WOOOOOOOOOOOO
Such a simple song but so emotional ..definitely one of the most energetic I’ve heard from pinegrove makes me very exited for the whole album
Loving this. Reminds me of sitting around listening to Bright Eyes back in the day. Little twang, little bouncy, little sad, little happy, solid track. A little short, but I love it.
Pinegrove is great for bright eyes fans
@@Leah.C. interesting! Ima check it out, starting to absolutely love rock music
@@KindnessInvokingNetwork awesome! The pinegrove sounding stuff would be the 2005 album by bright eyes called “I’m wide awake it’s morning”
PINE NUT NATION HOW ARE WE FEELIN
It's nuts out here
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@hasse_ssworry nut for everything will be pine
We are all on the express 🎉😂
Wow, this one's a real bop
I like you Pinegrove. Please never stop making music. I’m so excited to see you live again.
HELP!!!!!! can't stop listening to this glorious piece of art, been on repeat since yesterday that i heard it for the first time.
I used to listen to this back in the 60s... What a wonderful cover! A Message to Future Generations, Don't let this song die. It's January 2022, let's see how many legends are listening to this masterpiece
90% of teens no longer lister to real music :""(((
I can tell this is going to be one of my favourite pg songs already
Has that older Death Cab vibe.
I read on the pre-order for the record its mixed by one of the dudes who worked on that! So makes sense
I love how upbeat this is!
Still remember when I saw you play in a basement in Kalamazoo, Michigan! It was a Halloween show! Probably close to 7 years ago. Been my favorite band ever since.
oh the things i would do to have been at one of the basement shows😭
Dedicated to my brother who can't escape this state. My heart goes out to you little bro. It was supposed to be wonderful. . . I'm sorry it wasn't.
Albums going to be amazing I can already tell
can't get over this song, amazing
A lot of the recent albums coming out from this scene have been kind of disappointing. Pinegrove is constantly stepping up to the plate. I am so excited for this and I know that I can always count on these guys for delivering!
What is this scene exactly? Serious question, not trying to be a smartass
@@cstef592 im just gonna say folk punk lol
They aren’t folk punk! Aha I’d say more singer songwriter/emo/alt indie/country/Americana
@@tallulahbluelliot1410 no theyre definitely not but its just the easiest way to describe the sound
This song contains just about every element that made me love Pinegrove in the first place... So good! :)
Man... giving me some strong Saves the Day's Stay What You Are -era vibes.. love it!
Yes, sir, absolutely
I never look for new music but man this is a refreshing discovery. Make more music like this it's, incredibly smart.
Instantly obsessed with this, have always loved the slow Pinegrove but damn this upbeat feeling is too good
This is so cool, I'm happy 😊
Have this strange urge to visit Alaska now.
This is such a good song. This is going to go places :)
Best way to start the day!
Sounds raw! I like it... gives me the feelings The Get Up Kids give me.
The sonic precision of this song is amazing. Evan repeats vowels sounds in almost every line. For example, "last month in alaska" is "AAAH uh ih-uh AAAH uh" and "numerals do" repeats "OOH" on the emphasized syllables. This captures the idea of repeating "eternally." This song plays a poetic game that most songs just don't. Evan is incredible.
That's a cool observation.
evan: "I like words"
Pointing out the incredible songwriting, cannot get over this
Have you never heard a song before, man?
You’re right, sir
Listen once, rewind, listen again.
New here, and this song is fantastic!!
Pinegrove (and I presume Evan) has such a sense for lyrical beauty. They have such universal ambiguity, this could have just as easily been a melancholy ballad but it also works splendidly as an upbeat pop anthem. I have yet to be disappointed by Pinegrove, and am looking forward to the new album! hopefully I'll be able to see them when they come to Louisville.
love the name
@@samtheman456777 it’s a good one for sure
YESSSSSSSS! Such good energy!
Jesus, this is absolutely wonderful!
I sense an instant classic incoming. The mixing.
Love from Indonesia.

Fucking me up right now. Pinegrove always coming through when the heartache creeps back.
I’m so pumped
THIS IS SO GOOD
Such an earworm - been in my head all day!
Yessssss 😎 Happy Thursday!
I love it!
This is everything I needed and more
I love Pinegrove so much.
I usually don't like this genre. But this shit slaps and I don't know why
You ever come across a song and it just so perfectly encapsulates your mood at a given point in time? It’s not the word play. It’s not the lyrics. It’s not the drum beat. It’s the ever expanding to urge to want to kick the door down and scream “fuck you world, I am who I am” to everyone around you. And it doesn’t matter who you are, who you identify as, what god you worship, or what creed you follow, as long as you are true to yourself.
That’s what this song makes me feel.
oh it's SO good
Literally can't stop listening to this song 😭❤️
heck yeah 💖
i'm so happy i am crying

this is fucking amazing

🥺💚
Needs to be at least twice as long. I’ll have to keep repeating it instead.
11 represents the similarity of nature across scale and our being made in the image of God or the universe. It represents the repeating fractal nature of the universe. 1 individual, immiscible soul that cannot be disconnected from the greater 1 interconnected whole of which every individual is a part. The prime number 11 represents the fact that the individual and their interconnection to everyone else is indivisible and the repetition symbolizes the eternal transcendence of the connection
We know it deep in our psyche which is why psychedelic patterns (literally meaning patterns that bring the psyche to light) show these repeating sorts of fractal patterns
YEEEE HAWWWW
Fark yeah
Psyched! Will go to the Feb 11 Detroit show!!
I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG
Come to Calgary plzz ❤️💯💯
LAND ME DOWN ETERNALLY
this song has no right to hit this hard
🤟😎 11:11
!!!!
Hmmmmmm. yes.
This feels like one of those songs that was literally written for me. I started dating my girlfriend who lives in Alaska after meeting her online during pandemic. We both love music. Making shitty jokes that only we think are funny. All the amazing stuff you want. She visited me months ago and traveled all the way to NEW YORK. It was/is, very surreal. The scary immediacy of new love, new places. She wants me to visit and I really want to. Before we met I wrote a song called “Swimming to Alaska” for her. It’s kind of become my anthem to getting there.
Oddly enough, this song feels like my anthem for leaving and experiencing a life that maybe I’ve always been afraid of.
Thanks Pinegrove. This song wrecked me lol
Sincerely,
John from New York
There's also a song called Swimming on the new record
@@fofamungy123 wow! That’s even cooler! Thanks for telling me !

Great new song, albeit a bit short-felt like it just got going and it ended :(
