they could save a ton on studio recordings if they just record all their albums live. im assuming you've heard their Audiotree session, it's worth purchasing if you haven't.
One of my favorite Pinegrove songs. Love 2:58. You can tell how tight this band is during that tempo change. Everyone turns their attention right to Evan as he dictates the tempo while the drums continue on with the original tempo but a decrescendo. I was wondering how they would do it live, and it sounds incredible. Also Nick on the slide is killing it with those dynamics
The whole band understand the definition of dynamics building up to something and dropping it back down and able to do that is what music is all about. I love this band.
I went to school with Evan, he was a few years older than me, never said much to him but I’d go to the basement shows where’d they play and party after, always loved the way they jammed out :)
when the whole band starts to pick up at 2:45 and it all builds to this wild crescendo and the drums fade the meaning of life becomes clear and pingrove proves themselves to be my favorite band yet again.
@@brendanfisher the meaning of life is to suffer, and to learn from your suffering. And to contrast your suffering with happiness. And to understand the dichotomy. I think this is Evan's finest moment as a songwriter. I used to think it was 'Cadmium' and before that I thought it was 'Need'. Marigold will probably up the game even more. Amazing.
Now every time this song comes on I can't help but picture the drummer just jamming out and moving around in his own headspace. Can't help myself from moving the same way to this song anymore now.
My favorite song off Skylight. I’ve been waiting for a clean live version of it, and this is just perfection in every way. Every live recording they make is gorgeous. Thanks for your music and beautiful lyrics.
Im an old bloke now.. and I grew in the grunge era. I counldnt stand country music, and I've never really been into Indie or whatever it is.. Pingrove has unwound me and rebuilt me, and I completely love them.. Tight AF, masters of dynamics.. Just give me more Pinegrove..

Mark this feeling in the simplest shape Let me finally let it fall away Away
I just found this band today on 1/1/2022 all thanks to hearing a song of their's in my friends car on the radio tonight. So glad I thought to look them up. What a way to bring in the new year! I'm nearly speechless at how great this is.......
@@maerski5171 Already do. I rarely ever fall in love with an artist/band this quickly. Bowled over, in love, and comforted by this music. It's everything I didn't know I needed and I needed it bad.
That strat and hollow bodied telle sound so damn good together with the slide too.... It all just sings. Then homegirl on the bass holding up the background is so amazing. Then the drummer fading in and out the whole time..... Omg.... Dream world.
Remastering isn’t going to do anything. I think what you mean is remixed. Remastering takes the original recording that exists now and just makes it louder overall. Re-mixing the session stems would allow you to bring the pedal steel up louder
Captures the live performance almost perfectly. Though I think a part of what makes their live performances so great is the feeling of connection between the members of the crowd.
f ucK i love this song. needed a new recording of rings as of late. i’ve been really loving the lil lyrical changes in all the recordings i adore y’all
I'm jamming out to pinegrove in a dollar general parking lot
i love you! !!
Pinenuts unite!
Too broke after buying all the Pinegrove merch 😎
Voted most Midwest store
Aren’t we all? In our hearts
Every live recording Pinegrove has ever done has been amazing. This is no exception. Love this song!

Stefan Chow yesss💜 yes yes yes
Checkout bands: 'Tricot' and 'Colours'
you can tell these guys (and girl) were born to make music
Exactly. They are so tight knit. It is so amazing. It inspires the hell outta me...
Breathtaking. That's a better word.

So cool. What year was that you would check out their set in HS? I would love to see him and his band jam out.
evan is so expressive and passionate when he sings & i love that so much
Huge shoutout to the engineers. This channel is consistently a clinic in recording, mixing and mastering.
These players hit nothing but harmony . HOLY SHIT.
Videography gets every corner too 💜👏🏻

What is the meaning of life?
Perfectly put

@@charwest5892 I'll take it
The way those drums fade-out to be replaced by the synth and lap guitar haww jesus. This is gorgeous.
Kieran Hamilton tasty!
Great dynamics!
AM I FORGETTING HOW IT FELT???
That steel guitar tho....
damn!
God this is just so damn good. Reminds me of the feeling I would get listening to punk rock back in the nineties and early 00’s.
This might be the best song I’ve heard this year. I’m am absolutely in love with Pinegrove’s music.
MARK THIS FEELING IN THE SIMPLEST SHAPE
let me finally let it fall away♡
man that smile at the end
like he just got done telling us everything about himself, and he's waiting for a response.... seems so natural
been in love with this band since i heard angelina for the first time... so good.
The ending of the song makes me feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven
Years after, this is still the most fire flame version. 🔥 🙌
The thinline and the pedal steel... I’m speechless.
I think this is Evan's finest moment as a songwriter. I used to think it was 'Cadmium' and before that I thought it was 'Need'. Marigold will probably up the game even more. Amazing.
Agreed. I just want a studio version of the alarmist already
Cadmium I think is still it for me but this is very closely creeping up to it.
@@ZaneFowler that and scared to know have me pumped for marigold
Good taste sir. This and cadmium are just ridiculously beautiful.
the tension when the drums start fading into that ambient ending…my god it’s art. Love these guys.
The textures in this are out of this world such a tight band never disappoints me so much love for pinegrove
One of the best live performances of one of the best songs by THE best band. What a time to be alive

I could listen to that intro piece in this session over and over that od sound is so fucking good
I respect the effort put in for this redemption story by Hall. I hope he really has changed and can continue to make mesmerizing music like so.
Taylor Holloway I believe you but what makes you so certain who r u?
dumbass
@@erchearthelena i’m a little late on this but you guys do know that Taylor’s been friends with Evan since middle school right?
Ya I don't care what he's done, he could have murdered someone for all I care, his music is so good lol i'll always be a fan
This is my favorite song on the new album. I was at the Atlanta show and it was the best live show I ever saw
The Atlanta show sold out so fast... I can't believe I didn't make it :(
I picked up the bass a week ago and I absolutely LOVE playing this song. Such a nice groove!
Drummers just truckin' gotta love it.
The three different emotions I felt at the ending notes were happy, meloncloly, sad, and a little scared.
Oh I miss hearing Nandi in all of this loveliness...
Johnny Bregar same
Uggggh 😍 Evan’s voice is so intoxicating.
Uhuh! 🖤

Saw Pinegrove in Feb 2020 and they were literally perfect. One of the best shows I've ever seen
I'm seeing them in ATL on Jan 30th
So stoked!
I just love this song! Even better live!
Rings my fav song by them, first song on Cardinal that emulates some country
The end gives me absolute chills, his voice and synth, this is the best fucking band.
Holy crap, what a tight sound!
They did it again! Pinegrove is still delivering and I love it.
This song is so fucking brilliant--these lyrics--god damn
Made my day when I found this song today. Great freakin tune.
It's magic!
holy shit, I haven't eargasmed this hard in years.

This just cements pinegrove as one of the most cohesively arranged bands I've heard
is anyone here mentally stable.... im literally never emotionally ready to listen to this song... why is it so damn good
no 😂
absolutely amazing!
Always a good day when these guys release something
So much love for you guys!
Freakin love it. Love the main riff especially. Genius.
We love pinegrove
Pedal Steel is a killer addition!
Beautiful- great sound and a really great song!
god i love this band so much
Love you guys so much
i really needed this, thanks so much guys
seeing the drummer just absolutely living in the pocket is just another way this performance is pure excellence.
Just fucking beautiful. The connection and groove you guys have as a band is really something.
absolutely stellar
That pedal steal gives that band such a good dynamic
First time hearing these guys. Wow!
Mannn if you all ever come down to Nashville I'd lose my mind. Seeing you guys live would be an experience
andrew defilippo saw them live in Boston, one of the best shows I’ve been too, halfway through recycling Evan stopped to eat a pepper :)
They were in Nashville not too long ago. We rented an AirBnB right across the street.
Glad to see them again
