i honestly think that is the strongest point about lars. EVERY drummer ends their fills on the first beat of a bar, and lars mostly ends them on the 2nd time. he at least has some originality, a thing that you don't find very often these days
NathanDrums he isnt off beat. He just starts and ends fills literally in between the middle of measures. Good syncopation. Although improvising it live and then being left with the challenge of getting back on the beat from the fill on beat fucking 3 is what fucks him up. When he writes it into music he is ok. Such as the first really off beat fill in yhe frayed ends of sanity. Thats some crazy shit right there. You need to really fucking time your shit there

But your extraordinarily inconsistent hi-hat hits are flawless. Your fill count however is through the roof. The china cymbal ride is brilliant, and the addition of a second china is even better. You did no dance or even get out of your seat to pump up the crowd. Your Lars hi-hat groove face is perfect, however, you lack in sticking out your tongue. Your Lars-ing needs some work my friend.
