I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned this but if you have Elsje as a party member and your health is low she has a chance of throwing royal curry at you, if you avoid the dish she throws you can pick it up and sell it. Royal curry sells for 500,000G so you can have all the money you'll need this way.
The best tip I can offer I thankfully learned early. For easy infinite Lumber and Material stone. A boulder or stump has 9 hits of health for 9 materials gotten from it. Hit it 8 times instead of 9 and go in a building or fast travel the hits reset and you can hit them again. On my earth dragon I have 7 boulders now and two stumps I hit each one 8 times then go in the barn to reset them. Rinse and repeat. Early on this is even better because you can bathe for free. Take advantage of this. Build a massive stockpile.
I've been feeding Murakumo dumplings daily and he has never failed to give me something in return. One of the items he can gives is a claw from a boss that sells for 14,000 G, which he has given to me on at least 4 different occasions before summer even started. I have good taste in future spouses.

Your defense skill continues to go up even if you're taking zero damage. This counts with poison damage as well. If you're strapping in for a day of fishing or crafting, eat a withered grass and let your defense skill increase passively.
a little late to the party, but if you fish at the bridge in the northern area of phoros woodlands, you can easily catch taimen, which are fish worth at least $6,500, which is insanely good money for early game. according to the wiki, they are only catchable in spring, so if you're just starting off, they're a must-catch. im nearing the end of spring in my first year and i have $160,000, almost all of which is made from taimen

For tip 7, I don't know how similar the prices are, but in RF4, a level 10 popcorn sold for 5800, and the purchase price of corn was 3000, so as long as you had sufficient cooking skill, you could purchase corn, and turn it into popcorn for hundreds of thousands of profit every day.
After being shown the map and warping mechanic, run to the snow area (northwest of town then loop south). Stick to the east wall of the snow area and there'll be a cave with two chests, one a mimic, the other a shield with +13 Def, was nice to have super early before fighting anything. Avoid all monsters or they'll kill you, loot the shield before the mimic can catch ya.
similarly you can get a really good staff with +80 matk by capturing the first fox boss (give her the bell you drop after killing her and brush her 15 times) then ride her and go to the ice biome and kill the ice elementals with her Y attack, you can get a blue gem, and craft it with a stick for the weapon. early you probably don't have a high enough level to craft it, but you can put your forge in the bath house and abuse the fact that it's free to level by crafting the highest level recipe you have (having amethysts +stick , magic stone + stick and the earth shards you get from breaking rocks+stick) are great recipes to use for this technique you can try to craft using scrap metal instead of the listed ingredients, it will cost 10 rp and will fail but you'll get some xp and the scrap metal back (sometimes scrap metal+ but you can use it the same way). if you don't have scrap metal you can use anything and it will convert to scrap metal.
Perhaps you should have taken better notice to the dialogs you get, I know the first tip is mentioned quite a lot ingame. Also when you unlock the Seal ability it is also explained that you can use it to grab objects out of reach. Also same with the crafting without recipe. So those are 3 tips that are given and available in the game. The other 7 though are nice to know and are indeed not given in-game as far as I know. So Josh should add the most important tip: listen to what npcs have to say! Which is probably harder to do if you play the game in a language you barely understands like Japanese for instance.

Like duh, I saw another comment about someone discovering that while looking in your various storage you can access other storage like fridge or wardrobe (seriously ? Thanks mister obvious). Perhaps it is also because I am used to games and studied a bit of game design so I have a habits to test every buttons from the start and also to explore the map. However people really think, especially nowadays, the game designer did not add a way to pick up the same item more fast ? I've found that fairies 🧚♂️ drop love potions and there's a save point on the opposite end of phoros where they spawn, so you could potentially farm them. Idk the drop rates but it's worth imo
Watching this and reading some of the comments, the game does actually explain some of these tips if you pay attention during tutorials. Priscilla will tell you during the farming tutorial, after you've cleared the farm as requested, that if you hold A, you can pick up more of the same item easily. When doing the license Directives and answering the questions, one of them even asks what happens if you want to make a recipe you don't know, with the answer being "more RP" or something like that (any recipe you've never done before will cost more RP the first time, even if you learned the recipe through recipe bread but especially if you haven't, except maybe if its a much lower level when you're a really high level, not a high enough level to test that yet). And when you first get the Spell Seal, Livia tells you it can be used to grab items out of reach, though I personally tried it somewhere and it just kept making the item bounce a bit instead, not sure why. That's not to say these tips aren't useful, love hearing about some of these (how to get trees especially), but still.
i noticed these explanations in the tutorials, too, but i think since he's playing on the japanese version he might not have been able to read and understand that.
Love the game so far, but I hope they fix the lag and the render distance of grass, the game would look and run 10 times better if they put some effort and if they don't fix it hope some modder do it.

I found the tree stump seed spawn yesterday and while there wasn't anything good there I just KNEW it had to be important somehow. Great to know what's there!
Livia tells you about getting out of reach items when she gives you the spell. I just talked to her after wasting most of my day trying to buy a monster barn 😂 I would love a video about which villagers will give you items in trade. The tree and lumber tips were super helpful. It wouldn't have occurred to me I could hoe withered grass etc. where a tree is planted.
Thanks for the tips! Definitely didn't know about the spots with a chance for tree seeds! I found out about the out of reach fruit tip when trying to complete the orange juice quests yesterday. Had me so frustrated until I realized haha. Appreciate all these videos ☺️
One thing I just found out is that if you take villagers with you on adventures they can help you find items randomly on the ground and it significantly increases the chance of getting the fruit trees to spawn there!
@@nerdsquad117 you can also take monsters with you and it does the same thing :) with someone with you, you can get multiple tree seeds a day. I’ve gotten 3 from one spot in one day a couple times.
tip 3, you can only find the tree seeds if you get the SEED crest for finding things that are usually invisible. This is the same for the orange tree on the road by the stump.
I tried giving crafted Broadswords to Darroch. He gave a Schnabel with 2200 attack. I haven't even met Ludmila yet. Feels like cheating having a hammer that good so early! Terry gave me Hero's proof. Hp regen early game? Why not.👍

I'm loving the English version of this game. I was finally able to read all the tips on the tutorial signs, and they actually explicitly tell you several of these things the game "doesn't tell you." Like the ability to craft without a recipe and using your spell seal to grab out-of-reach items. I felt like a genius when I figured the latter out myself, too. *Grumble* In RF4 you could replay festivals by checking the trophies in your basement. Heinz's shop is not set once you talk to him. In fact, you can buy from him, save, load, and get a new inventory. I do this every time I'm looking for something specific. In addition, his inventory will have end-game items you don't have access to if you have beaten the game at least once. Getting the Tree Seeds isn't easier or faster that way-it's explicitly required. You have to find them, plant them, grow them, and harvest a certain amount of fruit from them, or in the case of Glitter Trees hit them once with an Axe. The re-gifting system is not as useful to new players as you have just advertised. There is some sort of hidden throttle point-which you have long since passed-that makes the items that new players get reliably complete junk. I'm still trying to pin this down. The only thing I'm certain of is that it's not story progression, and is likely not a single character's level or FP either. Terry and Riker are the only villagers that will give you anything appreciably good. Terry gives end-game accessories before you have access to the materials, such as the godlike Talisman, and Rosaries. Riker gives you rare scales that stack and sometimes sell for 15K a pop. It also works with any Original item, so Dumplings are optimal. Not only is cooking a great way to make money, but you can buy certain things, cook them up, and still make a tidy profit. This worked in RF4 as well. In any case, new players will have to be VERY mindful of the shipping bin's storage limit, as it's a serious throttle early game. Okay, something you just taught me. How the crap did you get a giant tree? Myself and the RF Discord spent hours trying to figure out how to giant trees, and we all collectively gave up. That Glitta Augite Tree was clearly giant, and not even losing 1 HP every time you hit it. Excuse me? So I guess Glitta Trees are the only ones you can turn giant? Okay, I'm trying this now.
I just remembered. Murakumo gives you claw and fang items, some of which can be rare and useful for crafting. For some reason he gives you them every 1 gift instead of 5. Dangerous Scissors, in particular, are a good find here. Again, you'll need to pass the throttle point to get good items though.
Thank you for the additional information! I originally wanted to talk about the giant trees but I'm not 100% sure how it works. I was surprised at first because I didn't know that was a thing. I have fruit trees on soil with similar stats and they don't seem to get big!

one tip i like to give that i wish i knew sooner that has caused me to waste much time is that when you ship a seed the crop for that seed becomes the level of that seed in the grocery and flower shops which is really useful for crops that take a long time to grow like the the golden 5 to cut out that extra one cycle once you can start buying them at max level to rack up billions with gold juices
Nice, thanks for those tips! I already knew about most of them but the few I didn't are mighty useful to know. I can finally get myself some tree seeds early. Might be worth pointing out that you need a monster or villager in your party to see the hidden items though (also, how do you get to see them on your own?) And does anyone know where to find grapes in the wild? I gound the apple tree pretty quick and found the orange tree after searching all over for a while but I can't seem to find the grape tree 😕 Oh! And one trick I found myself by accident: when working your field, if you just mash the B button while using the hoe, the waterpot or the hammer your character will perform the action on repeat and move automatically to the next square if nothing is in the way (including an already tilled square for the hoe, an already watered square for the waterpot and an already untilled square for the hammer). It's not much but it saves time and you avoid the hassle of having to line yourself up perfectly for each square 🙃
if you keep doing the wanted monster quests eventually one of them (the 3 star silver wolf for me) will give you a SEED crest that lets you see hidden items on your own and some extra stuff!

You said it as an afterthought but that magnifying glass tip is so nice! I absolutely hate having to switch to it. I'll use that tip today. Also, does anyone know if the plant/seeds will die if I use a hoe on a withered grass placed on top of them?
Tip 3 has a bit of misinformation that i have to point out and i dont see mentioned, the spawn points reset each day and that allows for the chance of a different item, however there should always be something you can find there each day and you CAN gather multiple of the item on the same day (You Can Get More Then 1 of the Same Seed On The Same Day), you must reload the area, teleport to a dungeon , a farm dragon ect then teleport back to the nearest spot , if there is nothing teleport someone else again and then come back , rinse and repeat until there is a item to be collected, there is a CHANCE at each location reload that those collection points respawn the items. it's the same process as in rune factory 4. you cannot change what item it is but you can get unlimited amounts of them until the day resets. and i tested it first location 13 orange seeds and second location 5 grape seeds on the same day. now it can take a bit, for me after the first 4 grape seeds I gathered it took about 7-8 reloads of the area for me to find another like i said earlier they have a CHANCE to spawn there on each load of the area. so for the people commenting that you keep going daily and dont find another, keep reloading the area's it will eventually show up. it's a chance on each load of the area to spawn the item.
I've also been very unsuccessful at finding these items without the foresight crest, i don't know if it's required or just helps greatly but i advise having it equipped when looking for these items
Oh! I found something new. If you talk to someone and just stand there, your RP will replenish. If I need some more energy for crafting, I’ll talk to Eliza, stand there, and wait for my RP to refill. It takes a while but if you like to do two things at once, it’d a nice little hack. Time doesn’t pass, so don’t worry!
I saw the tip about the fruit tree seeds someplace else but I haven't gotten anything from the stump or that viney tree. I went like 5 days in a row and there's never anything there. Also tried just resetting the day several times and still nothing. =(

Murakumo actually gives an item under the fang and claw list for every homemade item given to him. The items he gives sell for CHEAPEST Insect Jaw 16g, MOST EXPENSIVE Immortal Dragon Claw 14,000g. His average are items of about 200g to 700g.

When you try to craft something while you don't have any RP you will lose 25% of your HP but I just realized it's not -25% for each item. Preparing 9 pickles at once removed 25% hp from me. I tried 40 piece next and it still only cost -25% HP. Though all 40 of them turned into failed dishes. I'm not sure if they failed because of my cooking lvl was poor or the chosen amount was high. Need to try that few more times to be sure. But that's still a nice trick too.
Hey I can help you with that. when you used all your RP and cook/craft something with the hp loss than it will only fail when the rp for the crafting is higher than your max rp. for eg when you cook 40 Tunips (each 10 rp ) it would cost you 400Rp but your max rp is 375 so it fails. but if you cook only 37 Tunips(370Rp) it would work.

for the known tree seeds spots, is it only after a point in the story that they start to appear or after some other trigger, or have I just been super unlucky for the few days I been checking?? there's not even trash in those locations it's like those item spawns aren't even there
The cooking without knowing the recipe was actually in the test I believe for the pro cooking license, it was one of the questions you had to answer but in the test it says it costs MORE RP if you don’t have the recipe

2:45 I couldn’t get the seed to spawn without brining a companion with me. I went alone everyday for a month and then finally went with a companion and BOOM orange tree seeds.
@@foxberry12 for me it was a monster I tamed. It was easiest for me to be riding the monster and when the little treasure chest icon next to their HP bar on the far left side, I knew the tree seed was there. Or a stick… sometimes it’s an invisible stick.

They do tell you about holding A to mass pickup, but not until after they make you do it the hard way. The cooking license alludes to being able to cook without a recipe. Livia tells you about using spell seal to grab items Otherwise, great video
1 tip I wish I knew was that you can fetch items ZL ability. Some items seem unreachable but they actually are. If you use the ZL ability on them you'll fetch them. I found a Ventus Crystal in a pond but ofc couldn't reach it normally. I tried it with the fishing pole.. no luck of course. maybe with a monster like a fairy. nope. Then I finally tried it with the seal spell (ZL) and it worked! It may have been in some dialogue but I must've accidentally skipped over it then
I’m playing the English version and am having trouble finding the tree seeds. I played RF4 so I instinctively checked that stump in Phoros Wildlands for hidden items but have never gotten anything from it. I also checked the tree by the lava area and found nothing searchable a few days in a row. Help? 😅
Capturing creatures, collecting bounties, gaining them as temporary companions. Seeing this would be nice. Got a bounty to capture a slime now and have no idea what I'm doing.
To capture wanted monsters, you first need to find them. When you choose a monster to hunt, it states in which region it is and in what area of said region (if you're after the very 1st slime, it's in the north west area of Pharos region iirc). The wanted monsters have a red aura surrounding them so you can spot them. To capture them, you'll need to lower their hp a bit and then fully charge your seed circle (hold down ZL) and throw it at them. Do not defeat them, you need to capture them. If you accidentally defeat them (happened to me), you'll have to run around untill it respawns. Thankfully, it's always gonna be in the same spot. Once you've captured the monster, go back to town and talk to Livia to get your reward. Hope that helps 😊

For darroch, you should make battle hammers, they use the same recipe as the broadsword, but darroch uses hammers, so you can remember that he uses hammers, if you want to ever upgrade him.

I knew a couple of these from previous games in the series but I had no idea about the seal spell helping to reach items! Learning where to get tree seeds was useful too of course so thank you for the tips! I started playing the game when it came out here in the west and love it alot! I haven't been playing it the past month or two due to life just being busy but can't wait to start playing again :3

@@TheYdyp I pay a lot of attention to the dialog boxes, but I never saw that tip in the English release. Maybe it just wasn’t worded that clearly in the localized instructions? They said “press a to pick things up,” but I never saw “hold a to continuously pick up items.”

Like duh, I saw another comment about someone discovering that while looking in your various storage you can access other storage like fridge or wardrobe (seriously ? Thanks mister obvious). Perhaps it is also because I am used to games and studied a bit of game design so I have a habits to test every buttons from the start and also to explore the map. However people really think, especially nowadays, the game designer did not add a way to pick up the same item more fast ? I smile imagining doing ALL THE GAMe picking item one by one, I would have quit already

I've found that fairies 🧚♂️ drop love potions and there's a save point on the opposite end of phoros where they spawn, so you could potentially farm them. Idk the drop rates but it's worth imo
You can create armor piece (i used it on hat) with magnifying glass that way your every tool will display Soil status
Watching this and reading some of the comments, the game does actually explain some of these tips if you pay attention during tutorials. Priscilla will tell you during the farming tutorial, after you've cleared the farm as requested, that if you hold A, you can pick up more of the same item easily. When doing the license Directives and answering the questions, one of them even asks what happens if you want to make a recipe you don't know, with the answer being "more RP" or something like that (any recipe you've never done before will cost more RP the first time, even if you learned the recipe through recipe bread but especially if you haven't, except maybe if its a much lower level when you're a really high level, not a high enough level to test that yet). And when you first get the Spell Seal, Livia tells you it can be used to grab items out of reach, though I personally tried it somewhere and it just kept making the item bounce a bit instead, not sure why. That's not to say these tips aren't useful, love hearing about some of these (how to get trees especially), but still.
i noticed these explanations in the tutorials, too, but i think since he's playing on the japanese version he might not have been able to read and understand that.

Love the game so far, but I hope they fix the lag and the render distance of grass, the game would look and run 10 times better if they put some effort and if they don't fix it hope some modder do it.

Thanks for providing so many guides on RF5! I have around 400 hours on RF4 so every other guide online I look at has info I already knew but surprisingly your guides have tips even I didn't know, it's really handy to see the changes that RF5 has brought to the series and also what hasn't changed.
I found the tree stump seed spawn yesterday and while there wasn't anything good there I just KNEW it had to be important somehow. Great to know what's there!
Livia tells you about getting out of reach items when she gives you the spell. I just talked to her after wasting most of my day trying to buy a monster barn 😂 I would love a video about which villagers will give you items in trade. The tree and lumber tips were super helpful. It wouldn't have occurred to me I could hoe withered grass etc. where a tree is planted.
Not sure about all of the villagers, but Murakumo gave me a snazzy orange claw yesterday! It helped me forge a weapon, what an angel.

Thanks for the tips! Definitely didn't know about the spots with a chance for tree seeds! I found out about the out of reach fruit tip when trying to complete the orange juice quests yesterday. Had me so frustrated until I realized haha. Appreciate all these videos ☺️
One thing I just found out is that if you take villagers with you on adventures they can help you find items randomly on the ground and it significantly increases the chance of getting the fruit trees to spawn there!
@@nerdsquad117 you can also take monsters with you and it does the same thing :) with someone with you, you can get multiple tree seeds a day. I’ve gotten 3 from one spot in one day a couple times.

tip 3, you can only find the tree seeds if you get the SEED crest for finding things that are usually invisible. This is the same for the orange tree on the road by the stump.
Actually you can walk with one of your tamed monsters if you dont have the SEED crest yet.

You could replay festival mini games in RF4. But instead of doing it through the calendar, you had to do it through the trophies instead.
I tried giving crafted Broadswords to Darroch. He gave a Schnabel with 2200 attack. I haven't even met Ludmila yet. Feels like cheating having a hammer that good so early! Terry gave me Hero's proof. Hp regen early game? Why not.👍

I'm loving the English version of this game. I was finally able to read all the tips on the tutorial signs, and they actually explicitly tell you several of these things the game "doesn't tell you." Like the ability to craft without a recipe and using your spell seal to grab out-of-reach items. I felt like a genius when I figured the latter out myself, too. *Grumble*
In RF4 you could replay festivals by checking the trophies in your basement.
Heinz's shop is not set once you talk to him. In fact, you can buy from him, save, load, and get a new inventory. I do this every time I'm looking for something specific. In addition, his inventory will have end-game items you don't have access to if you have beaten the game at least once.
Getting the Tree Seeds isn't easier or faster that way-it's explicitly required. You have to find them, plant them, grow them, and harvest a certain amount of fruit from them, or in the case of Glitter Trees hit them once with an Axe.
The re-gifting system is not as useful to new players as you have just advertised. There is some sort of hidden throttle point-which you have long since passed-that makes the items that new players get reliably complete junk. I'm still trying to pin this down. The only thing I'm certain of is that it's not story progression, and is likely not a single character's level or FP either. Terry and Riker are the only villagers that will give you anything appreciably good. Terry gives end-game accessories before you have access to the materials, such as the godlike Talisman, and Rosaries. Riker gives you rare scales that stack and sometimes sell for 15K a pop. It also works with any Original item, so Dumplings are optimal.
Not only is cooking a great way to make money, but you can buy certain things, cook them up, and still make a tidy profit. This worked in RF4 as well. In any case, new players will have to be VERY mindful of the shipping bin's storage limit, as it's a serious throttle early game.
Okay, something you just taught me. How the crap did you get a giant tree? Myself and the RF Discord spent hours trying to figure out how to giant trees, and we all collectively gave up. That Glitta Augite Tree was clearly giant, and not even losing 1 HP every time you hit it. Excuse me? So I guess Glitta Trees are the only ones you can turn giant? Okay, I'm trying this now.
I just remembered. Murakumo gives you claw and fang items, some of which can be rare and useful for crafting. For some reason he gives you them every 1 gift instead of 5. Dangerous Scissors, in particular, are a good find here. Again, you'll need to pass the throttle point to get good items though.

I originally wanted to talk about the giant trees but I'm not 100% sure how it works. I was surprised at first because I didn't know that was a thing. I have fruit trees on soil with similar stats and they don't seem to get big!
@@JoshGamingGarden is it possible you applied giantizer and forgot about it? I'm not sure how long giantizer is in effect for but that would make the most sense to me in terms of getting trees that big

one tip i like to give that i wish i knew sooner that has caused me to waste much time is that when you ship a seed the crop for that seed becomes the level of that seed in the grocery and flower shops which is really useful for crops that take a long time to grow like the the golden 5 to cut out that extra one cycle once you can start buying them at max level to rack up billions with gold juices

Might be worth pointing out that you need a monster or villager in your party to see the hidden items though (also, how do you get to see them on your own?)
And does anyone know where to find grapes in the wild? I gound the apple tree pretty quick and found the orange tree after searching all over for a while but I can't seem to find the grape tree 😕
Oh! And one trick I found myself by accident: when working your field, if you just mash the B button while using the hoe, the waterpot or the hammer your character will perform the action on repeat and move automatically to the next square if nothing is in the way (including an already tilled square for the hoe, an already watered square for the waterpot and an already untilled square for the hammer). It's not much but it saves time and you avoid the hassle of having to line yourself up perfectly for each square 🙃
if you keep doing the wanted monster quests eventually one of them (the 3 star silver wolf for me) will give you a SEED crest that lets you see hidden items on your own and some extra stuff!

oh my gosh! The Hold A tip is wonderful. I used to throw items by mistake all the time, and it drove me nuts.
You said it as an afterthought but that magnifying glass tip is so nice! I absolutely hate having to switch to it. I'll use that tip today.
Also, does anyone know if the plant/seeds will die if I use a hoe on a withered grass placed on top of them?
Tip 3 has a bit of misinformation that i have to point out and i dont see mentioned, the spawn points reset each day and that allows for the chance of a different item, however there should always be something you can find there each day and you CAN gather multiple of the item on the same day (You Can Get More Then 1 of the Same Seed On The Same Day), you must reload the area, teleport to a dungeon , a farm dragon ect then teleport back to the nearest spot , if there is nothing teleport someone else again and then come back , rinse and repeat until there is a item to be collected, there is a CHANCE at each location reload that those collection points respawn the items. it's the same process as in rune factory 4. you cannot change what item it is but you can get unlimited amounts of them until the day resets. and i tested it first location 13 orange seeds and second location 5 grape seeds on the same day. now it can take a bit, for me after the first 4 grape seeds I gathered it took about 7-8 reloads of the area for me to find another like i said earlier they have a CHANCE to spawn there on each load of the area. so for the people commenting that you keep going daily and dont find another, keep reloading the area's it will eventually show up. it's a chance on each load of the area to spawn the item.

I've also been very unsuccessful at finding these items without the foresight crest, i don't know if it's required or just helps greatly but i advise having it equipped when looking for these items

Oh! I found something new. If you talk to someone and just stand there, your RP will replenish. If I need some more energy for crafting, I’ll talk to Eliza, stand there, and wait for my RP to refill. It takes a while but if you like to do two things at once, it’d a nice little hack. Time doesn’t pass, so don’t worry!
I saw the tip about the fruit tree seeds someplace else but I haven't gotten anything from the stump or that viney tree. I went like 5 days in a row and there's never anything there. Also tried just resetting the day several times and still nothing. =(

Tipp 11: you dont have to feed your animals that help you on the farm when they get angry just use groupheal on them
and use monster skills (Add attack and defense buffs) to gain leadership skill up. It sounds good when doing it inside the barn
Murakumo actually gives an item under the fang and claw list for every homemade item given to him. The items he gives sell for CHEAPEST Insect Jaw 16g, MOST EXPENSIVE Immortal Dragon Claw 14,000g. His average are items of about 200g to 700g.

When you try to craft something while you don't have any RP you will lose 25% of your HP but I just realized it's not -25% for each item. Preparing 9 pickles at once removed 25% hp from me. I tried 40 piece next and it still only cost -25% HP. Though all 40 of them turned into failed dishes. I'm not sure if they failed because of my cooking lvl was poor or the chosen amount was high. Need to try that few more times to be sure. But that's still a nice trick too.
Hey I can help you with that. when you used all your RP and cook/craft something with the hp loss than it will only fail when the rp for the crafting is higher than your max rp.
for eg when you cook 40 Tunips (each 10 rp ) it would cost you 400Rp but your max rp is 375 so it fails. but if you cook only 37 Tunips(370Rp) it would work.

for the known tree seeds spots, is it only after a point in the story that they start to appear or after some other trigger, or have I just been super unlucky for the few days I been checking?? there's not even trash in those locations it's like those item spawns aren't even there

The cooking without knowing the recipe was actually in the test I believe for the pro cooking license, it was one of the questions you had to answer but in the test it says it costs MORE RP if you don’t have the recipe

2:45 I couldn’t get the seed to spawn without brining a companion with me. I went alone everyday for a month and then finally went with a companion and BOOM orange tree seeds.
oh wait is that what cause them to appear? did you have a villager with you or a monster that you tamed?
@@foxberry12 for me it was a monster I tamed. It was easiest for me to be riding the monster and when the little treasure chest icon next to their HP bar on the far left side, I knew the tree seed was there. Or a stick… sometimes it’s an invisible stick.
I brought my Fleecy with me and it worked!!!

They do tell you about holding A to mass pickup, but not until after they make you do it the hard way.

1 tip I wish I knew was that you can fetch items ZL ability. Some items seem unreachable but they actually are. If you use the ZL ability on them you'll fetch them.
I found a Ventus Crystal in a pond but ofc couldn't reach it normally. I tried it with the fishing pole.. no luck of course. maybe with a monster like a fairy. nope. Then I finally tried it with the seal spell (ZL) and it worked!
It may have been in some dialogue but I must've accidentally skipped over it then

I’m playing the English version and am having trouble finding the tree seeds. I played RF4 so I instinctively checked that stump in Phoros Wildlands for hidden items but have never gotten anything from it. I also checked the tree by the lava area and found nothing searchable a few days in a row.

11 things.. with 11 being "don't buy it full price until the dreadful performance gets patched".
Capturing creatures, collecting bounties, gaining them as temporary companions. Seeing this would be nice. Got a bounty to capture a slime now and have no idea what I'm doing.
To capture wanted monsters, you first need to find them. When you choose a monster to hunt, it states in which region it is and in what area of said region (if you're after the very 1st slime, it's in the north west area of Pharos region iirc). The wanted monsters have a red aura surrounding them so you can spot them. To capture them, you'll need to lower their hp a bit and then fully charge your seed circle (hold down ZL) and throw it at them. Do not defeat them, you need to capture them. If you accidentally defeat them (happened to me), you'll have to run around untill it respawns. Thankfully, it's always gonna be in the same spot. Once you've captured the monster, go back to town and talk to Livia to get your reward.

If you run over some items they just go straight to your inventory
For darroch, you should make battle hammers, they use the same recipe as the broadsword, but darroch uses hammers, so you can remember that he uses hammers, if you want to ever upgrade him.
Sadly still don’t have the cash to buy it now but thanks for those tips I think they‘ll be really useful once I get my hands on the game
