  • Instructional video on how to install a rough country 1.25" body lift on my 98 jeep wrangler. This installation was done without the shift linkage bracket because I will be installing a 1" motor mount and a rough country 1" shifter extender.

    Good idea and explanation of the install. Also great note of how necessary jack stands are for safety. But don't use cinder blocks, they shatter under shock (like a jeep falling on it) and you'll super die. Nice video though!

      Very nice video and good info. Also on the cinder blocks or aka cement blocks have approx. 186,000 lb. crushing weight when in the correct installation position, however when these cement blocks are laid sideways, they can easily be broken and have catastrophic results. Have seen this many times, folks using cement blocks sideways and not knowing how dangerous it is.

    You lucked out by getting all those bolts out without breaking them. Lots of them break and you have to start cutting holes in the floors.

    I don't like the rake of my 2003 Rubicon with the front end being lower than the rear. I also don't like the body lift because it leaves a gap between the body and frame. I would like to level the Jeep but not sure how to raise the front end. Perhaps Springs is the front end???

    Are you happy with the ending result after having it for over 6 months

      Yes i have. I also enjoyed installing it. There's nothing like adding mods to your jeep on your own. Thanks for watching!

      None yet, but i also installed a rough country 1" shifter extender to avoid any shifting problems that other people have had.

    One question, I am in the same way as you, I have searched all over the internet and only you have made a video of this product and with a jeep stick shift, the question is where the transfer plate attach goes, which the kit provides, my jeep is 5, speeds and I don't know if to put it or not? Because one thing leads to another, and it is not only open and now, more things must be bought and that they do not say

      Hey Ricardo. Are you referring to the body lift kit or the motor mount kit?

    Is there an extension for the fuel filler? Or did it stretch?

    • @deepsouthtexasoutdoors9405
      @deepsouthtexasoutdoors9405  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used the same filler that was on the jeep (without an extension). I urge you look at this thread. www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/fuel-filler-neck-issue-after-bl-943300/#/topics/943300?page=1&_k=bwj6ix
      It explains what other jeep owners did with their filler necks after installing a body lift. Hope this helps, thanks for watching.
