Green Hill Paradise was born out of a question. A question that has all but torn the Sonic the Hedgehog community asunder:
Can a Sonic the Hedgehog game be made such that it supplies a rich and robust experience in a fully 3D environment while staying true to its platforming roots?
The developers are here to answer this question, not through an in-depth analysis video, not through a lengthy forum post, but through a fully playable video game experience. After 10 months of research and development they believe that, yes, Sonic can not only exist in 3D, but he can THRIVE in it. GHP's massive environment, winding paths, dynamic physics and hidden collectibles provide players with the freedom to choose where they want to go and how they wish to get there. The only limitations are the laws of physics and the player's own skill.

No Boostpads.
No scripted cameras.
No Boost Button.

I love nearly everything I see in this. I love at least the concept of the level design in that it's a hybrid free run/adventure type with LOTS of room to run. The level itself was well executed too. I love the mechanics of movement. No loss of momentum like it Sonic 06 and the animations are very nice too. Love love love the fact that Super and Hyper Sonic are showcased here. Been far too long without Hyper. Since the Doomsday level in Sonic 3 I've been convinced that Sonic gains flight at Super level, but after seeing this and considering the fact that the only flight I've seen Super Sonic do was in space, I don't think that's the case. However, it was a nice addition to give it to Hyper Sonic. I have to say though that I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw what appeared to be a relatively low cap on his flight speed. I understand he needs to be controllable, but I think a player would have enough sense to voluntarily slow down to do that.

@@austria-hungary7680 yeah but thats only in the final boss and the only way to get it outside of the final boss fight is a cheat code and i dont think sonic used cheat codes in the sonic lore

@@cold-bloodedbeats4139 nope. Sound test 10 from sonic 2, was a music file intended for hidden palace zone, a zone which more or less exists in the game files but wasn’t in the completed game.
@@725Chrisj Oh I didn't know that. Maybe the Super Emeralds was meant to be in Sonic 2 but they delayed it for Sonic 3
@@cold-bloodedbeats4139 it’s one of the many interesting curios from early sonic games. I believe the story was that Tails was supposed to be the protector of the master emerald, which could be seen in the hidden palace. So they scrapped that so that knuckles could take that role in 3 and knuckles!

For those of you who don't know. The super emeralds are the chaos emeralds that are made extra powerful by the master emerald. And hyper sonic is crazy fast, crazy strong, crazy powerful, almost completely indestructible,and can breath under water.
Naw, the super emeralds are emeralds gone super. Meaning that hyper sonic is just super sonic going super again. Imo

The "diagram" that was in the hidden palace room was the one that dr. Eggman *robotnik used to deceive knuckles into thinking that sonic was on the way to steal the emeralds and Dr eggman will use it for good purposes
Basically the Chaos Emerald order is from Sonic 4 Episode 1 except the 6th and 7th ones. The last one was supposed to be the purple one.

They're called Super Emeralds. Apparently the Chaos Emeralds get amplified by the Master Emerald causing them to become Super Emeralds
