Had to hop back in time to watch someone play my favorite card of all time: God-Eternal Kefnet. Trying to make it work in Pioneer and would love to see your take on a Kefnet brew in Pioneer!
I can't believe you called his bluff on Circuitous Route, that was pure mastery in action. Saving the Vraska's Contempt to get back Narset in response to a Krasis was also great!
Legions End is a fine card to have to start the game. Kills mana dorks so good. I tried several Dimir variations I had to add white to go Esper for more unconditional removal to be more well rounded. Mill is plan A with Ashiock leading the charge and Enter the God eternal and bond of insight chipping in.

Woah! Great deck! I've been really thinking about a dimir control deck lately because of legion's end, and I've really wanted to build one to pilot at a local FNM, but I'm afraid it would just die to the multiple decks and I'd just waste money building it

Can you try a tribal assassin/rogue deck with cards like Etrata, Assassin Girl, the Vraskas, Agent of Treachery, and unblockable effects?
So glad I came to you and mr cheeks when i got back into magic a month or so ago and didnt get sucked into net deckin nonsense rely on myself a little bit more so and just much more entertainment and originality maybe thats why im drawn and side note I noticed the past couple videos your actual game audio isnt audible idk if thats on purpose but I personally feel like im missing it for some reason just saying =P
Have you tried Cav of Gales to put an instant/sorcery from our hand onto our deck for Kefnet to copy?
Also, how do you feel about adding green to make this sultai to include a few cards like Casualties of War and Assassin's trophy to copy with Kefnet to give better game against Field of the Dead? Vraska-4 has a lot of targets with her -3, and we get additional sideboard options like veil of summer and shifting ceratops.
I havent seen one since espers reigns and or Amonkhet Bolas list. That deck was rank.

The deck devotes to the board. It's a janky build but it could get out of hand without a board wipe, combat tricks with moment of triumph will most likely remove early blockers

I think Scapeshift has some choices and some complications, but I don't think it's as complicated as some people make it out to be. It's a pretty straight forward game plan. I have a feeling these are the same kinds of people who think that RDW has no thinking involved. Does it have less decisions than control? Of course. Is it mindless? Definitely not.

I'd play "Doom whisperer" in that deck, at least one
I've been playing your deck lately, i really like control decks, but i decided to remove 1 "Cry of the carnarium", 1 "legion's end" and 1 "Search for Azcanta" to add like i've said 1"Doom whisperer" and 2 "Ritual of soot" (the meta is full of small creatures).
But we still have a problem here, the very big (legendaries) creatures (like "Ghalta", if you see what i mean xD), "Cast down" can't do anything against them, same as "legion's end" or "Enter the god Eternal".
We still have "Vraska's contempt" and "Lilliana", that's it, so maybe we could add "Entrancing melody" or "Mass manipulation" (which could help us with the opponent's planeswalkers)
And finally, since you play "Lilliana", maybe we could add 1 " The elderspell", even if the opponent doesn't play any planeswalker, we can kill our "Narset" to add 2 counter to "Lilliana".
I'm building a similar dimir control list except it runs ugin do you think thats worth it or am i just wasting wildcards... coming from a f2p player
Ugin can help dimir and in terms of f2p problems, you can put ugin in a lot of decks. Sounds like a good call

This is my main deck, I just grind gold and cards on constructed. Easy wins against mono red
It loses a lot to green decks tho. And that's like half the meta when you play this deck. Nissa is a real pain in the butt.
It's pretty good against mono-red, a bit better when you tech for it with a little life gain and ritual of soot. And against the Green decks you really need those thought erasures to snag Nissa or you're out of luck and have to grind out the game.
@@user-xg6zz8qs3q 4 vraskas nissa is usually no problem. Using field of ruin on whatever land they make a creature is always a laugh as well
what pushes nexus out of the meta? is it not good against all three of these decks: vampires, scapeshift zombies and this weird control deck here..

Because scapeshift players are all netdeckers who don't think outside the box...
Because it's a win-more card that doesn't help Scapeshift win the *first* time they play Scapeshift, which is usually how it works.

13:05 isn't it impossible for the opponent to strike your amassed zombie when it takes 4 damage? it takes 4 damage And gets amassed in the same effect, so how would he be able to squirm a strike inbetween?
CGB, I notice you mill yourself quite often and I can't figure out why. If it doesn't screw you over outright it turns into, at best, just a meh move. In that first match you lost your contempt because of it.

Fred - I mean, I know why he did it, I just don't think it's generally worth it. Not try to start an argument, I think it's not my style.
There is zero difference between milling yourself or your opponent unless there's a specific reason weighing one way or another (e.g. a tucked Kefnet, decking, graveyard abilities, tutors...). You're just exchanging one unknown draw for another. Put another way, there's a 50/50 chance that your milling will improve a draw or hurt it. It's a wash. On the other hand, milling to flip Azcanta is a known upside. Put them together and, in general, milling to flip Azcanta is always the right call.
"good" is the wrong term. "working" would fit better m8
Just play ashiok against scapeshift
Legion's End beats scapeshift itself.
Or play Mayhem devil. Something super satisfying about scapeshift decks being forced into killing themselves in order to play their main gimmick.
That said, Grafdiggers cage > Ashiok...prevents reanimator cheese decks from doing their thing, shuts down scapeshift decks etc...also you see a lot less artifact removal in standard compared to planeswaller removal.

@@suchalonedisskins5664 it was an oops inclusion because it doesn't shut down scapeshift so I really don't know why I included it to begin with.
I made a mistake. Forgot it only prevents casting spells from libraries not cards entering the battlefield from the library.
I don't suppose us bo3 people could convince you to do bo3 once a week or something...
If a deck doesn't manage to reach 7 wins in bo1 constructed. Deck is bad
