2023 update: Since this video Taylor had relapsed many times. She bullied and sent her followers to bully anyone who questioned her sobriety. She told people it’s okay to drink alcohol while freshly in sobriety and on. She then tried to get back with the “man” she speaks so poorly about after not being together for 2.5 years. When people found out all hell broke loose and people lost their minds. She then had taken a long break, got sober and happy to say Taylor is a year and a half sober! Recovery looks different for everyone, it’s hard as hell. So proud where she is today!

I was addicted to opiates at her age too, and I had the same issues with relapsing after months of sobriety. Finally it just stuck and I’ve been sober for over a decade now.

It’s super inspiring to hear how long you’ve managed to be sober for. It’s such a tricky hole to get out of and for me personally, the black and white thinking of complete recovery or relapse has been detrimental because I always interpreted it like all or nothing. I was scared by the thought of abandoning my coping mechanism forever (especially since it was how I was controlling s***cial urges) and therefore didn’t want to even try to get better. Seeing it first through the lens of harm reduction and then all progress still counting as progress no matter how minor; like increasing the amount of time I went without my DOC, then managing a week, month or six months of general sobriety in one go. When i’d relapse my rule was to minimise as many of the risks as possible and put it down again the moment I have sufficient mental health support for it not to be integral to my survival. More clear cut recovery is still my goal but i’m trying to be proud of the steps i’ve taken instead of dismiss it as not enough

@@dizzy_izzy_ohh realizing there’s a problem and knowing you need to do something about it I think it’s the biggest step of all, which you’re already half way there now. You’ll get to the point of where you want to be. I’ve met a lot of addicts over the years and the ones that seem to have the most success are the ones who are aware of their issues and keep trying no matter how many times they fall off. Self awareness is so important.
My sister sadly became an addict and it’s going on 4 years now. She hasn’t come to that point of realizing she’s the only one who can turn it around and instead will blame anyone and anything else.

Sounds like she had a bigger problem with stalkers and American based eco terrorist group, than heroin.
For example, after thousands of U.S. citizens showed their dedication to fundamental human rights and went out in protest of the torture of detainees at Guantanamo Bay as an affront to human dignity...I apologized because I thought those members of Al-Qaeda deserved the death penalty.
Its fairly clear everyone from John Stewart to the other fine citizens of Massachusetts agree that I'm in the wrong here. So I'm sorry that I believe in the death penalty and I'm sorry that I believe Al Qaeda members involved in the 9/11 Attacks should have been executed. The People of the United States have shown me the error of my ways and I admit that I was wrong and I'm sorry.
Seriously though, watching the U.S. military gay gang rape and serially gay rape those POWS might have traumatized children and turned them as gay as the military personnel who did the gay raping. I just wasn't aware you wanted more gay children whose first gay experience was watching U.S. military personnel gay rape, gay gang rape, and serially gay rape Muslim POWS.
I'm sorry. I was wrong. I didn't know you people wanted gay children. And I'm sorry for believing that people guilty of mass murder deserved the penalty. I truly wish I could have supported the U.S. military and it's personnel who sexually abused these POWS for years while shooting those videos, and promise to make every attempt to support the U.S. military in these endeavors in the future.

True story: I met Jonny Craig once. His band were playing in my hometown (sort of, nearby), and my band were the main support. We were more fans of DGD than Slaves but we needed the exposure, and my drummer was a big Jonny Craig fan. Nothing really happened that was all that serious, but the guy was a little out of it. Nothing shocking to any of us, we were all fucked up, too. But, halfway through his band's set he started screaming at the audience telling them to "fucking start moving" or he was "going home". He didn't go home, but he did angrily tweet about the Plymouth, UK show for like two days after lol. He didn't realise that he was playing in a total deadzone. He must have been accustomed to very different types of crowds.
TL:DR; Jonny Craig is a little bit delusional.

I’ve dealt with multiple serious mental illnesses but nothing could’ve prepared me for people’s judgement. It’s seen as a moral failing and spiteful criminal act. I’m not dodging all responsibility but an abusive childhood and years of my life spent on psych wards may provide a little explanation (not justification) I’ve lost so many friends when I’ve asked them for help and there’s just an assumption that I’m going to lie and steal

You’re absolutely right. From personal experiences, my senior cat that i’ve had since Elementary school (i’m now 25 and she is 14 years old still hangin’ on) has always been my best friend and even when i’d get sick, she’d lay with me and always made me feel better. No matter how sick I felt, I always made sure she had a clean litterbox and food & water in her bowls. People can’t just assume that “you’re not able to do anything on drugs” because it definitely isn’t true and it also depends on who that person is too. Also, I was already a mother at the time (my daughter is 4 now) and i’ve always worked full time sick or not sick no matter how hard it was for me. I also didn’t shoot any thing up tho.. only snort. So I do know things like that can be a different outcome but i’m only talking from my point of view. Either way, I totally agree with you and i’m happy there aren’t just ignorant people out here and that some of us actually understand.

Injecting it into your blood stream will obviously be like everything you said just now. Buuuuttt.. sniffing the drug is a much less high than what the needle junkies go thru Lol. You’d be surprised how many people are on drugs or a drug that function just fine and you’d never know. At my point tho, I was only doing it to not be sick cause the withdrawals were freaking horrible and it feels like it lasts a whole lifetime going thru them. That’s mainly why we relapse. It's always a sad thing to see in addiction when people who either don't know anything about it, or have been told whatever in school/after school programs about it and think that makes them adequately informed when all you can know from that perspective is the factual things like what's dangerous, the effects, the risks, the price, how it looks, how it's administered etc.
But what they (And the majority of mainstream "sources of information" about drugs, drug use, addiction) think is not misinformed and incorrect, often it's dangerously incorrect.
So almost always as far as understanding or "getting" addiction people don't, but addiction will absolutely "get" them.
And then it already has you.
That's why peer support, talks with addicts in recovery with a lot of clean time and experience is SO important and not only for people still in active addiction and the chaos that surrounds it but the teenagers who're all just hearing and being shown the same recycled heavily biased misinformation and rhetoric are either just tuning out entirely or any of the information they DO take onboard is incorrect/harmful.
But having recovering addicts come and talk to them, being REAL with them about what that life is like and everything surrounding it, what addiction is like, withdrawal, the things you'd do that otherwise you would never ever do just to get out of withdrawal, and even life and its daily fights AFTER addiction is what really needs to happen to make our younger generations better informed on this disease that's become so incredibly widespread and deeper engrained than ever before, it's in everyone's face, in the street outside.
But it'd also help the kids to see and realise that addicts aren't just people, they're almost always very vulnerable, damaged, abused, traumatised and discarded or forgotten people.
And a lot of those people are more than just addicts, they're GOOD people who BECAUSE of the life they've lead and what they've witnessed or experienced - if god forbid you found yourself the victim of a random attacker on the street with members of the public all around you? Those same addicts are the ones who'll often run in to help you while everyone else is recording on their phone or just completely ignoring you and often not because they just don't want to get involved, but because they don't care that it's happening to someone else - as long as it stays that way.
I bet pretty much everyone here either has, knows, used to know, or IS a person who suffers with addiction and is still fighting that daily lifelong fight.
We've got to make sure our kids don't even set foot in the ring in the first place.
Stay safe all, love ya, appreciate ya. 🖤🤍🖤🤙
