What is actually amazing about this verse is... It isn't referring to God or the original creation. It's using that scripture as prophetic of what will happen.
If you keep reading through to Hebrews 2:5, you'll see that it's about Jesus and the "world to come" or New Earth (as described in Revelation).
It's referring to the same thing that Jesus said in John 14:1-3... Jesus preparing the place for us, is what Paul is talking about in Hebrews.

    • @kevin8360

@@chucktowne I don't know why the author quoted more of the Psalm than just the part about making the world at the beginning...
I do know that in Hebrews 2:5, he said they were talking about the WORLD TO COME. That's clearly not the one I'm on right now.
Chapter 1 talks about God, Jesus, the angels... and "the foundation of the earth; and the heavens.
So it's pretty clear when the author says "For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak", that the ONLY reference to any world prior to that was the quote from Psalm 102.
Unless you can tell me what other world was spoken about, (other than the quote from Psalm 102), that the author would refer to as the world to come... I'm forced to believe that the only reference to any world, is in reference to the world to come. It makes no logical sense otherwise. It would be a worthless comment in Heb. 2:5 that has no context and doesn't fit in the context.
I appreciate you throwing in some defense of the trinity, but you're reaching too far.
Hebrews 1:8 is a quote from Psalm 45. In the Hebrew, it's elohim... which doesn't always refer to God. It also refers to angels, kings, Moses, etc... It simply means the mighty.
I'll just refer you to John 10:34-35 and Psalm 82.
If the author of Hebrews quoted a scripture that says Jesus has a God... and Jesus said he had a God (John 20:17)... I'll simply believe them, instead of trying to rationalize in my own mind of how they somehow didn't mean it...
I'd love to have the trinity debate with you, but I'm sure you'll be just like the rest. You won't try to explain why what I say is wrong or an incorrect interpretation... You'll just move on to the next trinity "proof" text.

Actually, on the quantum level there is an energy field that exists which supports everything. Protons, electrons, neutrons, and other quantum particles constantly arise out of this energy field and disappear back into it. The quantum particles that make up atoms are not solid, but bundles of energy. All these organized bundles of energy, atoms, we see as physical matter. God probably created the energy field first and out of it created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:2 says God hovered over the waters. The waters could be translated as sewage, and hovering is the same Hebrew word that describes a hen sitting on eggs until they hatch. In six days, God created life on earth and rested on the seventh. The deeper we dig into science, the more we realize how amazing our God is.

And most people (including many Christians) think this verse means blind faith without any evidence. But nothing could be farther from the truth: faith in things not yet experienced REQUIRES evidence of things that have already transpired. In other areas (science, business, sociology, etc. ) it is called extrapolation, and is utilized extensively. In everyday parlance, this is just expected or anticipated outcome if the past trend continues. For example, if the number of tourists to a particular city during the past 5 years were: 10 400; 11300; 12 200; 13 700; and 14 500; what is the anticipated number of tourists to this same city THIS year (based on the same world conditions)? Without doing a detailed statistical analysis, you can probably correctly guess about 15 400. Why? Based on the PAST trend. That is faith.
This point is made quite clear in the story of Jesus and the centurion with the very sick servant (Matt 8:5 - 13). Review for those who may have forgotten it: the centurion came to Jesus and asked Him to heal his very sick servant. Jesus agreed as said that He will go to his home and heal that servant. But the centurion said to Jesus that there was no need for Him to actually go to his home, and that all He had to do was just say the words because he (the centurion) knows from experience that he can command his soldiers to do things that they must obey. In a similar way, Jesus can just command the forces that exist to heal his servant. "Mat 8:10 And when Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." The point is that Jesus recognize and commended this Roman centurion for his faith in Him based on the soldier's experience. The end of the story? Jesus told the centurion to go his way as his servant was healed (and so he was) BASED ON THE CENTURION'S FAITH.

Even before I was saved by the living God, I understood that the universe could not have created itself, you cannot have something from nothing. ...only an Almighty Creator can do such a thing. YHVH spoke the universe into existence(and other realms and beings also that we do not know much about), just as the Bible says. Common sense was all I needed as a non saved person to grasp that there had/has to be a Creator of some sorts.

    To the non-believers:
Physics says: every spontaneous chemical reaction goes in the direction of the greatest entropy.
Everything in our universe - left alone - goes towards the lowest energy state, to be as simple as possible.

There are two main beliefs for how the universe exists.
      1. It was always here.
      2. It came into being.
Option 1 violates the Law of Causality.
Option 2 violates the Law of Conservation of Mass and Energy.
The existence of the universe violate natural law. It can't exist naturally and therefore must have a supernatural origin.
That supernatural origin is God. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who led Moses and the Israelites out of Egypt with a strong and mighty hand.

There is no question that there is an intelligent creator who's wisdom is unrivaled and vastly superior to humans. However, for the sake of accuracy we need to understand that "begining" is in a relative sense. Rev.3:14 calls Jesus the "first born of all creation" John 1:3 identifies him as the creator of all things. Also Job 38:7 clearly shows that angels were created prior to the creation of the earth. When I read Gen 1:1 I notice that it says "In the beginning" which begs the question which beginning? The beginning of everything or the beginning of life on Earth? The next part of the verse says God created the Heavens and the Earth which shows there is a separation between the two. God answered my question about which beginning. Every time we are away from God and come back to Him it is another beginning moment where He separates for us Heaven and Earth. He makes a distinction between the carnal and the spiritual. We get to start over again recognizing Him as Lord of all including both Heaven and Earth. Each new beginning He creates for us Heaven and Earth. When we are away from God it is Hell on Earth, He puts us back on track so we know we can access His forgiveness through Jesus and we can once again experience Heaven while bound to Earth.

Years ago there was a TV show called "The Mentalist" about a man who was just hyper observant and helped police solve crimes. In one of the episodes there was a kid who had suffered brain damage and claimed to directly communicate with God. This got a bunch of religious leaders upset and there was a murder to solve of a girl that supported evolution and was protesting the kid. (Typical cop show of the era.)
Anyway, the point is in the episode, which I only saw once over a decade ago there was a line that I still remember.
The Mentalist was speaking to the kid about God and Darwin. The kid was insisting that God was real and that he spoke to him. The Mentalist asked "So Darwin must make you upset?"
The kid replied with "Of course not. Darwin was helping God. He pulled back the curtain and showed us how God did it."

Here is some food for thought. When we were in our Mother's womb we were being prepared for this life We were entering into a physical world.. Getting the things such as ears to hear and eyes to see our limbs, so and so forth.. The next life will be spiritual. So we need to prepare our spirit to align with the Creator's Spirit. Luke 1:17....The first word in Hebrew in Geneses Ch.1:1 is beraysheeth. If we drop the preposition be (which means in) we have raysheeth. This word has a duel meaning. It not only means beginning, but also means "firstfruits".. The MESSIAH as the wave sheath is the first of the firstfruits. No one can preceed Him. Then those who are worthy will be the "firstfruits" which always belomg to the ALMIGHTY. At the end of the age is the harvest. The angels will be dispatched to collect that harvest. So other than these things. As i see life, this is the purpose of this life...Pray that you may take part in the FIRST RESSURECTION. as oppossed to the second ressurection. Where people will die a second death... Those that take part in the 1st resurevction allow the word to judge them now, so as His bride, we have made ourselves ready by overcoming self and rejecting this present world...and what it offers...

The Bible was written for mankind. Not God, Jesus, Angels, Satan or his demons. The first verse tells us that God created time, (the beginning),space, (the heavens), and mass, (earth). He created the 3rd dementional universe we live in. This small statement has huge meaning. Creating time is for humans bc the Bible says God has no beginning. Creating space or the heavens, means the all universes and all that they contain. Creating mass or the earth, is every element on the on the periodic table, thus the ability to create all tangible and living things. Thus making God, the sovereign and sole creator of ALL things. Says so much for just 10 words.

What we need to know about ourselves from God's Word and our only hope of being justified before a Holy and righteous God: [WHY WE HAVE NO HOPE IN OURSELVES: Mk. 7:20-23 And he (Jesus) said, That which comes out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things (sins) come from within, and defile the man.] [WHY WE NEED A SAVIOR: Rom. 3:10-28 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things so ever the law says, it says to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his (God's) sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ to all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Joh. 3:16 For God so loved the world (us), that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Joh. 14:6 Jesus said to him (us), I am the way (salvation), the truth (assurance), and the life (eternal): no man comes to (God) the Father, but by me (God the Son). Rom. 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:]

*The King James Bible **_was_** at one time a literary masterpiece without blemish. What I mean is there were no spelling, grammar or punctuation errors in it. I have a short film in my playlist on how that was acheived. Now, they're on every page! And there are MANY word switches too! Satan has **_supernaturally_** attacked it more than any other translation, but all of them in **_EVERY LANGUAGE_** have been destroyed in the fulfillment of prophecy! Plus all concordances, encyclopedias, dictionaries, history books, the oldest manuscripts and the Dead Sea scrolls have been miraculously changed to match!*
*Not every word, Satan is too smart for that and he understands that rats won't eat pure poison so .05% is added to 99.95% corn. The rats love it because they can't taste the poison ... and perish for lack of knowlege! If you ever needed to obey God's commandment to ''prove all things'' and investigate something, this is it!!!*
*Our Father said to "prove all things" and you better obey Him on this thing especially. I have an exceptional memory, I remember my third birthday party and can draw an accurate picture of my baby stroller. I'm 71, was saved when I was 10 and **_had been_** reading only the **_exact same copy_** of the King James bible since 1961. (I am not a king James onlyist, but now I'm glad I never read any others or I might not have noticed the changes as soon.) I memorized many scriptures out of it over the years and I absolutely **_know_** that the word **_demons_** used to be all through it. But today that word is not anywhere in there! It was replaced with **_devils._** And the only place I've ever read the word **_wineskins_** was in my bible, but it's not in it any more either. It was replaced with **_bottles._** And now **_unicorns, easter, matrix, castles, damsels, stuff, corn, colleges, banks, employment, schools, missles, tires, mufflers, manifolds, engines, highways, suburbs, pavement, presidents, doctors, pilots, sheriffs, beer, dumb ass, India, Spain, Italy, ferryboats, couches_** and lots of other words are in my bible that I never saw in it my whole life! Many of these words are anachronisms (THEY DIDN'T EVEN EXIST IN 1611!!!!) It never talked about men with milk in their breasts or fathers nursing babies either, but now it does! Isaiah 11:6 used to say the **_lion_** shall lie down with the lamb, not the **_wolf_** shall also dwell with the lamb! Lion represents Jesus and wolf is associated with Satan! There are 15 films in my playlist with plenty of undeniable "residue" showing that ''wolf'' has replaced "Lion". (Residue is what they call all the things Satan missed as he was changing our world.) Luke 17:34 used to say "two shall be in one bed, one shall be taken and the other one left", but now it says "two **_men_** shall be in one bed...! And the following verse said "two women shall be grinding at the mill together..." and now it just says "two women shall be **_grinding together_** ...! So now the bible makes it sound like some homosexuals are going to be ''raptured"! BTW **_nobody's going to be "raptured" until after the tribulation. The Wrath of God follows._*
But *this is the BIGGIE,* in Luke 19:27 it has Jesus saying "And those mine enemies that would not that I should reign over them, bring hither and *SLAY THEM BEFORE ME!"* It did say _eshew_ them away! This change makes Christians sound like radical extremists!! *Millions of Christians will be killed because of this verse!!!* And I know that this is a parable, but the king Jesus was talking about was Himself, the King of Kings!
*I memorized the Lord's prayer as a boy because Jesus told us to say it, and I have said it tens of thousands of times, and it absolutely did not say **_which_** art in heaven, it said **_who_** art in heaven, it didn't say **_in earth,_** it was **_on earth._** And it now says forgive us our **_debts_** instead of our **_trespasses!!!_*
*God has sent His strong delusion to all of the people that never received the love of the truth! What's scary is, so far that appears to be almost all believers, and **_pastors!!!_** This incredible phenomenon they're calling the Mandela effect is absolutely real, but it should actually be called the Daniel 7:25 effect because that's where God said He would give the Antichrist power to do this, (''change times and laws''). I first became aware of some of the bible changes in 2014 before I ever had a computer or had heard of the Mandela effect. But since 2016 I've watched many hundreds of videos on the subject, and saved some of the best and most important ones for proving our bibles have been changed and pointing out all the places this was talked about in end time prophecies that we had previously misinterpreted in my playlist which you can see by 👉 typing into TH-cam (PROOF OF BIBLE CHANGE RESIDUE JUNKIE 1)* 👈
*By the time you have seen all these films which point out the many misinterpreted prophecies being fulfilled **_supernaturally,_** you will have grown MUCH closer to Jesus the never changing Word of God and your faith will be 1,000% stronger ... GUARANTEED!!!!!!!*
*Even though I will no longer read any bible, (unless Jesus changes them back), I continue to study what God's word said by seeing what scriptures have been changed with proof of what was originally written. I urge you all to do the same, while you still can, because when the lights go out, all we'll have then is hard copies of the bible Satan wants us reading! At that point Amos **8:12** will be fulfilled where it says we will no longer be able to find His words anywhere again.*
*This is without question the biggest and most important event since the day of Pentecost! When you see absolute proof that the miraculous fulfillment of end time prophecies is happening with your own eyes and how close we are to our Savior's return, it's the most faith strengthening and exciting thing that you've ever experienced!*
    *God bless you all!!!* ❤✝️💪🏻
*P.S. After people have taken all of the required 💉's, they will apply a quantum dot invisible tattoo to their head or hand, but anyone who has had just one has a bluetooth mac # that can be read by any smart phone and when you walk through the deal at an airport they know if you have it. The no buying or selling is happening incrementally and will be complete when cash is abolished and worship can be defined as "to fear, obey and trust in someone or something" which is what they are doing with the Beast System and the Image of the Beast, (NWO and TV!). They also now have triple helix DNA, are no longer human and if they have children they won't be human either! Yes, this absolutely is it, and👉 if you write me at the address on my about page👈 I'll send you 15 **_shocking_** films that will PROVE it to anyone who has the courage to watch them.*

    God created the universe

Sixteen years ago, my son was five years old and, he had not even started kindergarten but even at that age, he was such a deep thinker. He asked me if God created the heavens and the universe, then who created God? I struggled to come up with an answer and the best I could come up with was that God is self-existent and that he that created himself. He looked at me and said "Dad, that's silly. A pencil just doesn't move across a piece of paper without a hand to push it along, so something had to have been there to create God."
How would anyone reading this reply to his question/statement?

We're in discovery of what God is. God isn't the pencil, so go on to the hand. But God isn't the hand.....the arm.....the person......what makes the person work.....and so on. The knowledge of God is a silent knowledge that transcends language and thought. Not emotion, either. If any of these things are present, then a person is only alluding to ideas of what God is, but not God for real. It's good to keep questioning and pondering upon those things, because that is the path to knowing. Some times it's best when no one can answer a question, but even better is when the answer comes without even knowing the question.

God made time. That means He is not limited by time. That's impossible.
God made ALL matter. That means He is not made of matter. He is immaterial.
God made space. He is not limited by space.
Your son is a created being. He cannot understand spirit, eternity, or nothing (before everything we know and experience). He cannot understand matter actually. He might think he can, but he cannot. He IS 3d but he can only see 2d. He can perceive it tho. His mind, not his brain, can put the 2 images of his 2 eyes together and form a 3d image in his MIND. Not his brain. The image is not in his brain.
There is far more available to us than what we can touch, see, sense..... and it is all invisible, immaterial and eternal. You ARE a soul. You HAVE a body.

It’s firstly important not to equate the planet earth with “the world.” We live *in* the world and *on* the earth. We don’t live *in* the earth (unless we’re gophers or earth worms) or *on* the world (unless we’re high-flying birds soaring somewhere above the stratosphere). This distinction is quite important.
Gen 1: 1 is essentially an introduction to the fact that God did create the physical universe, which is to say its expansion from a small, but quasi-infinitely dense, mass was indeed theistically guided to form the more-or-less stable orbital systems that now exist. The second law of thermodynamics otherwise shows that such a development could not possibly develop. Only a supernatural guiding hand could have achieved it.
Thus, while earth upon which we live is around six billion years old, the world - the current world - is, say, around 10,000 years old. It had been preceded by numerous eras and epochs, none of which are of much (or any) concern in the Scriptures.
Sometime prior to Adam, virtually (or literally) all land life on earth had become extinct, including humanoid creatures (like the Neanderthal) and various prehistoric beasts like the dinosaurs and flying reptiles. One probable explanation is that an asteroid (or comet) had slammed into the Yucatan Peninsula with devastating worldwide catastrophic effects.
Gen1: 2 is often partly mistranslated. The earth was not “formless and void,” but in chaos and decay (Hebrew “tohu” & “bohu”) - most likely from a cataclysm that had previously destroyed all land life on earth.
What followed was God’s intervention in putting it into order. The creation event was not ex-nihilo, but of the existing elements and substances of the already long-existent planet earth.
Day one: He clears away the cloud cover of particle debris, allowing sunlight to penetrate.
Day two: He creates the sky effect by means of an atmosphere of oxygen, nitrogen and carbon-dioxide and its refractive effect on sunlight.
Day three: He creates the fruit-bearing plants, which require CO2 for photosynthesis (so showing that these days could not have been long time periods, as some have suggested).
Day four: He sets (or resets) the orbital characteristics of the earth relative to the cosmos (and especially the moon) in order to determine the annual feast days (Lv 23). (The sun had already come into existence, as clearly indicated by the first-day events.)

    The light is Good
(John 1:1) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."(John 1:2) "The same was in the beginning with God."(John 1:3) "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." This amazes me more. SO christ jesus was in God and with God and is GOD. (Genesis 1:26) "¶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
SO in OUR image who is that image? (Genesis 1:27) "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." SO Christ was the image and in his image Christ created a copy of his image the first man. Created HE HIM, male and female created HE them. Through Christ created was man and eve through adam. keeping the same image. this is why I love the KJV its so clear. God>light>love>image>time space matter>creation>man>eve>fallen man>Christ out of woman>image known>Loved>saved>renewed>power>glory>spirit given back>reset back to God.

In the beginning (time) God (spirit) created (energy) the heavens (space) and the earth (matter)
