There is nothing wrong with learning about the origins of the universe. You just don't say well since God did it we cannot learn some things about how he was able to accomplish it. That is what a lot of non believers not only would say but would have every right to say just that. I do believe that God gave man the ability to think and reason so he could learn more about what he created and some of origins of things. Sure man will not be able to learn how God created all things before that promised kingdom. But he can determine some of the things. If there was gonna be a problem with that then God would've limited man's ability to think and reason like he is able to do. Which would in turn limit his ability to try as many different types of governments to see if he is better off without God as far as choosing for himself what is good for him and what is bad for him.

The water above the firmament is like a vapour which the bible mentions nothing of. The bible does say that the sun and moon are placed within the firmament (above and below the waters) and move throughout their respective courses that God determined at creation. Joshua made the sun stand still (not the earth) during a battle. The Lord is enthroned above the circle of the earth (not the globe of the earth). The sun is set in a tabernacle above the earth and runs its course like a runner and completes its circuit from one end of the earth to the other. Your presentation is based on presuppositions of human philosophy and supposed science. Your premise is therefore built on inaccurate science and fiction thus agreeing with much of the sci-fi information taught and seen in movies.

We have fire, earth, water, air as the four ancient elements. In Gensis 1, you can still find these 4 elements before any creature exists. Meanwhile, it is just because they are the basic elements for life, too. However, should anyone insist the explanation of glass dome, air would not have existed in Genesis 1.

It should be "When God began to create the heavens and the earth" not "IN THE BEGINNING God created the heavens and the earth. The new phrase doess not imply the beginning since there was a creation of something before the heavens and the earth so the phrase "In the beginning..." is a wrong one

The Bible was written for mankind. Not God, Jesus, Angels, Satan or his demons. The first verse tells us that God created time, (the beginning),space, (the heavens), and mass, (earth). He created the 3rd dementional universe we live in. This small statement has huge meaning. Creating time is for humans bc the Bible says God has no beginning. Creating space or the heavens, means the all universes and all that they contain. Creating mass or the earth, is every element on the on the periodic table, thus the ability to create all tangible and living things. Thus making God, the sovereign and sole creator of ALL things. Says so much for just 10 words.

It is no different than trying to fit the Word of God into the "science" of evolution where we end up with Christians saying "maybe that's how he did it" when He clearly said how He did it. There are several Bible verses that say the Earth does not move and the Bible says that God caused the Sun to stand still for Joshua. It does not say that God stopped the earth from rotating.
