Hello! 😃 This is not my first abandoned project on this channel and definitely not the last. It's a lot of fun to build abandoned aircraft!
it's been around 10 years now since I returned to the hobby but I still have a lot to learn. This channel was created at first to track my own modelling progress and having fun editing videos rather than a tutorial channel, becuase to be honest, I didn't know what I was doing most of the time and I still do and try new things while im recording these videos 😃 But I am happy now that during my own journey some people found my videos useful so thanks for watching, your likes and kind comments! I don’t watch your builds as tutorials even though I learn things from them.
I watch mainly for two reasons-
I am old and my eyes and hands won’t let me model any more, so in a sense I live vicariously through you and a few other TH-cam modelers.
I appreciate the oddball subjects that never used to get any love but are becoming more popular with TH-cam modelers- I can only watch so many panzer builds, you know?
You have been consistent in advancing your skills and challenging conventions in modeling subjects. It doesn’t matter so much that you don’t post on a consistent schedule, what matters to me is that when you do post a video, you present what you love doing.
I also returned to gluing models after a 20-year break. So far I have made a Crommwel tank from Tamiya 1/35, and now I have a Mi-24 1/72. Something that gives you fun, even when there is no electricity in the socket - an advantage over a computer.
I was fortunate? Enough to fly in a AN2 in Poland just over a year after the wall came down. As a cough serviceable cough aircraft it did not look much better than your model. Excellent work
I am just blown away with your abandoned weathered airplane look. The effects on the kit looked as if you left it outside for some time. Your weathering details are superb in my book. Fantastic job!

Did some jumps from one ages ago in Holland. The thing had holes between the dash and the windscreen that were packed with rags to block them up.

Awesome job my friend! I think I’m beginning to like these abandoned looking model builds more than anything else and you did a superb job here. I also like the nice little history lesson about the aircraft and I have to admit, I was rather shocked to see they built these airplanes all the way up until 2001! 😳 I just subscribed and look forward to your future builds. AN-2 was flying over my head thrououut all my childhood. We have a small airfield 30 min walk from my home in the city where i grew up.

Beautiful! Maybe some missing panels, removed by local farmers who needed a wheel or a piece of metal? missing instruments? or even some vegitation that grown as the years went by?

Another brilliant video Dawid! Your modelling skills are outstanding, the weathering on this plane is just fantastic. A question please: do you do a final coat of matt varnish to seal the weathering and if so which brand of varnish do you use? Keep up your great work 👍
Hi. Normally I use oils and enamels for weathering and no need to seal them. I seal the paint before decals and then decals if I use any. I I think weatheing pencils could be activated again with water so maybe its good to spray another layer of varnish. I didn't.

Hey Scale Hangar! Quick question what would you think about doing things like 1/32 aircraft kits?🤔 Currently working on the F/A-18F and is a great model kit, many gaps but oddly satisfying, but that's my opinion. I love the channel and the hard work, keep it up mate!!!👍
By the way have seen the F-4 phantom video just wondering what the general opinion is?
I would love to build more 1/32 scale kits but I don't even have a room for bigger 1/48 models that i have and want to buid (like hawkeye with wings unfolded) I am currently working on 1/48 Skywarrior and I have no idea where im gonna store it. Also recording videos with such a big model is not very comfy to be honest . for now, im oing to finish skywarrior, build a few smaller jets this year I think and 1/700 aircraft carrier (that is not small but not wide as large scale aircraft and will fit my display cabinet easily) The phantom is okay kit I would say, it's defiantelly not as good compared to some newer kitsbut not terrible at all.@@FA-18Fguy

Not really. there is plenty of photos online of abandoned AN-2 in really bad state but canvas is still intact
