I'm only 30, right, so I have no real experience with aging thus far, but when I was 20, I thought I'd be dead by 25, then 30. Now, I'm back to school and I wouldn't even THINK of trading my 30s for being 20 again lol! I'm still 20, but with 10 years of experience. XD
It's kinda sad that people fear aging though. It's not like you can control it and, oddly enough, aging is not determined by the time that passes by but by your biology. My mom's trying to scare me telling me I'll be 40 in 10 years. I'm like "It won't be the case for another 10 years, so why bother with it? I'll have 10 more years of stories to tell if I do things right by that time. Why be afraid of it?"

I’m 20. I will be 21 in July 2023. I believe my fear started with watching Puss In Boots 2, but it may have been before. I have a very poor memory. I think I had a rough child/teenage hood (strict parents, tv trauma, cyberbullying, no lasting friends or schools, unalive attempts). But again, I have almost no memory of it. Nothing has meant anything to me for more than a few years. I spent a lot of time focused on people who died close to the ages I’m about to hit. Only pretty recently have I started to be on my phone less and hang out with people more, and the pandemic didn’t help. Then, it seems like as soon as I finally enjoy life and all it has to offer, i realize that no matter what, someday it’ll be taken from me. I try to hang on to my hope of a Christian afterlife, but the belief is fading. Everyone tells me that I’m still young, and I know, but I feel like each year so far has passed in the blink of an eye. I know I shouldn’t think about it so much, that I should live a full life while I can, but I don’t really know what a “full life” is. I just wish I wasn’t so conscious of my heart pounding, my blood flowing. Cause that means I’ll know if it slows down. I just hope it isn’t too late to start leaving an impact on the world, or to make real life, lifetime friends.

It depends on the person and their history. A wasted youth leads to a harsh future of 'should have's' and theirs no cure for that. If what we value has no baring on our age such as a career, family, extroverted pursuits etc then aging shouldnt be an issue. The prob is that ppl are shamed for hating getting old as it is essentially a demise of the boiling frog variety. I say to hell with aging, sagging, slowing, planting flowers, grey hair and slogging it out day in day out, to a life that plays out more or less as we expected. Long live the normies and their desensitization to the inherent absurdity of nature and her insidious form of thievery, aging.

I don't want kids and hopefully me and my man will be together for life. The biggest fear for me is not death or getting older, cause I believe I can do what I want through my whole life. But it's the fact of an aging face that scares me soo much. I'm 30 and I looked sooo much younger even 3 years ago and more feminine. I can't look in the mirror cause I hate my face so much. I even look more masculine? And older. I will never ever embrace looking old, having grey thin hair, wrinkles, saggy face and body, weight gain etc. my eyes look tired and sad and I'm just 30. Nature is cruel

Hey! am i a big thinker now? If a thought is electron based. does that mean the thoughts flow through space, incapable of knowing direction and time itself. Would I suggest, that your subconscious mind could be found on the outside and not within you. Who's your thoughts now? Yours? receiving ideas where nothing could be found before you, yet exist within the infinite space of your minds. Would I suggest that, the light gets directed by electrons in angles and refracted off by objects from the gravitational force of the object itself. Just to see better through the darkest nights. Would I suggest that you have the power to choose the after produce, but not the prestory from your radios. What if we applied caps from our head to toes, would we be able to contain more energy than before? would I suggest that humans are much like a battery cell, containing mostly dynamic energy. Without a plus and minus pole, to contain the electrons that float out of earth and through your body and out of your mind. Until it reaches heavens above and floats back down, like an original idea everyone is capable of grasping for. Would I suggest that dynamic electrons move faster than the relativity of time. Would I suggest a reason to your action is based on your own control of electrons within. One thing to take from this. One cannot simply believe man will ever be capable of understanding the universe the ol' ways. As long as we stand for the static evolution of humanity, the dynamic progression will keep wandering off into the abyss, containing two/thirds of the universe above. (idk) -BAB

How do you explain 70 year olds who don’t skip a beat and sound and act just as they did when they were 20? That doesn’t really jive with the explanation that it is just sifting through more info that is slowing older people down. Another argument is that 35 year olds sift through way more info than 19 year olds but are not cognitively slower.

Please don't get me wrong, I agree with most of what this lady is saying, but telling people they're deluded for associating ageing with decline is utter gobbledegook.
Yes indeed, it's true that having a positive mental attitude towards ageing is probably going to slow this biological process and give us potentially longer life, but we're all still declining nonetheless, LOL
Lastly, I agree that most people in their 60s don't have dementia, but for those who get this disease, it is more common with greater age.
It's about time people realised that ageing is a disease and the more we educate ourselves on antiaging science, it's going to be better for all of us in the long run.
Put simply, it might be possible for us to find ways of curing this horrible biological process.
I do recommend people like David Sinclair and other scientists like Aubrey de Grey
