Hey, heroes! I'm going to be streaming on Twitch again this weekend! I've been trying out a new VTuber model, so swing by and check it out! On Saturday I'll be playing some more Mega Man X7 while on Sunday I'll be trying to finish Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions! www.twitch.tv/merrymarvelite
Have you thought about doing one of these about the DC universe like you do the marvel characters I love marvel but I'm more of a DC fan but I love them both
Man I just love these stories. In a huge comic book fan since I was 6 and I'm 46 now. So I listen to these as I drive. Keep up the kickass work bro. I'm loving the channel
Your timing is impeccable, I just started actually reading a Thor comic for the first time recently. it's a unique little corner of the Marvel Universe and I can't imagine how challenging it must be to write Thor and his supporting cast by themselves.
I'm pleasantly surprised by how well this follows the actual Norse mythos. Obviously they had to change some of the details to fit the Marvel Universe as a whole, but they included a lot of things that get glossed over in a lot of interpretations (i.e. the Aesir/Vanir War). Love the channel as well, keep up the great content!
Why surprised? Did you think those dumb-ass movies portray Marvel Comics well? Well, they do not. Thor is not a comedian in the comics, Sif is not some tertiary character that Thor has no care for (they're in love and Thor vowed to marry her since they were kids), and Ragnarok is the actual Ragnarok like in the myths, not some Space Balls sequel.
This was a nice look at the background of a major part of the Marvel Universe. I really like these deep history of ancient races. So with Thor Odinson coming next week and Thundersrike, Eric Masterson comfortably leading this months poll leading to a video on him looming in the future maybe you still have room left in the schedule for another asgardian video on RED NORVELL, the red headed Thor stand in. As always? MAKE MNE THE MERRY MARVELITE!!!!!
Ever since Thor: Ragnarok, I've desperately been wanting to get into the comics and with some suggestions from some folks on a classic comic book forum, I started in Journey Into Mystery around the time Absorbing Man first appeared. And man, let me tell you, when Thor is good, it's probably one of the best comics I've ever read. Have Epic Collections 3 & 4 proudly sitting on my bookshelf and they get re-read fairly often
Can you do history of Lady Sif, the Warrior three, Mongoose, Bloodaxe, Heimdall, and Skurge the Executioner along with the Thor Villains like the Destroyer, Malekith the Accursed, Hela the Goddess of Death, Surtur, Dario Agger the Minotaur, Ulik, Kurse, the Enchantress, Gorr the God Butcher and Mangog?
Nice..... the world tree is an energy field that stretches throughout the nine realms. I’ve heard thousands of explanation videos of Asgard and everything on TH-cam but that was the first time somebody explained “The World Tree” like that, which now makes perfect sense
Thanks for your work I always link to your stuff about pre-heroic age marvel whenever I have to talk about anything marvel conan related in my source lists!
My wife is Swedish and before she came to live with me in the US she never really had any experience with Marvel Asgardians. At first she was very much against such a flippant version of the mythology she grew up with. But after reading the first couple hundred Thor comics she became a fan.
Can you do history of the U-Foes, the Annihilators, the Squadron Supreme, Doom Maidens, the Midnight_Sons, Young Avengers, Dark Avengers, Masters of Evil, the Thunderbolts and the Champions?
Circa 4:54: Mention of Ymir recurs across numerous tales set during the Hyborian Age, possibly eariler; refer to Niord Worm's Bane, Atali, Savage Sword of Conan#141 mentioning the legend of Ymir having imprisoned entities resembling vampires, and in a tale of Bloodstone in Bizarre Adventures II#1.
The discrepancy between who came first between gods and humans was pretty convenietly explaines away in Loki: Agent of Asgard, the human myth that created gods transcended time and space, so where once there was no gods, now there has always been gods i.e time shenanigan. Also I dont think Asgard experience time like normal, Frigga, who shouldnt be able to remember anything from the last Ragnarok, claims to be older than the sun. So I think ever time the gods return from Ragnarok they relive their billions of years of existence seperate from Midgard's time, after all Asgard is stated to be beyond time and space snd Asgardians exist in mythic time and not normal time
Can you do origin of the Grim Reaper, Molecule Man, Sentry, Mr Immortal, Captain Universe, Dreadknight, Hypnotia, Blizzard, Starhawk, Flerken, Whirlwind, Chemistro, Whiplash, Ronan the Accuser, Ego the Living Planet, the Living Tribunal and Super_Skrull along with Avenger-X and the Protector?
Can you do history of the Beyonder, Crossfire, Living Laser, Iron Monger, Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, Whiplash, Ultimo, Darkhawk, Union Jack, Annihilus, the Badoon and the Broods?
Can you do origin of the Brood, the Gladiator, Hyperion, Blue_Marvel, Alistair Smythe the Ultimate Spider Slayer, Stingray, Quasar, Squirrel_Girl, Ultimus, Kly'bn, Kang the Conqueror, Annihilus and Tryco Slatterus the Champion of the Universe?
In the myth however, all of the Norse characters are different Thor is a ginger not a blond Some of the Asgardian family tree is a bit incestous like the Greeks Loki had sex with a horse and gave birth to Slepnir Speaking of which, Thor and Loki weren’t really brothers at all they are either stepbrothers or half cousins Thor sacrifices his life to defeat the Midgard Serpent Jordmungund Thor got his hammer after Sif lost her hair by Loki
the Myth Thor DID exist in Marvel...but he died in Ragnarok...the Current Thor is actually a Reincarnation of the previous...Alongside all the Asgardians/Aesir...
What would happen if Thor 5 showed Thor Odinson's family tree like the stories of the Asgardians who were born during the creation of Asgard? What do you think is the best thing about Asgard in the comics compared to the MCU?
How long till you do history of America-Chavez in honour of the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness along with the history of the Grim Reaper?

Is that the video game that Dan Slott wrote?
OK you talk about some of the Nine Realms which realm did Karnilla and the Norns live in?
Please make a video about Princess Shuri as the Black Panther.
Tell me something what realm do the Norns come from?
Have you thought about doing one of these about the DC universe like you do the marvel characters I love marvel but I'm more of a DC fan but I love them both
Absolutely love your channel. Huge Marvel fan and especially Thor.
Tall guy, not so good looking…needed saving 🤨

What comic?
I'm pleasantly surprised by how well this follows the actual Norse mythos. Obviously they had to change some of the details to fit the Marvel Universe as a whole, but they included a lot of things that get glossed over in a lot of interpretations (i.e. the Aesir/Vanir War).

Asgard : the name of a realm, a continent, a city, and also a race
King Vegeta : finally a worthy opponent
This was a nice look at the background of a major part of the Marvel Universe. I really like these deep history of ancient races.

I love that picture of Young Thor with Sif and Amora

I feel very bad for you if your gateway into Thor was that abysmal movie that has less than zero to do with the comics.
NGL a Heimdall video would be fire
Low key curious what the history of Olympus looks like
Top tier video man
Nice.....
the world tree is an energy field that stretches throughout the nine realms.

Man Norse Mythology in the Marvel Universe is all sorts of complicated. That is probably an understatement.
Thanks for your work I always link to your stuff about pre-heroic age marvel whenever I have to talk about anything marvel conan related in my source lists!
Been using your videos to fall asleep to. Love your dialogue and how you read it. Thanks!
Love your channel
Keep it coming!!!
Really good stuff! Good research and well told
My wife is Swedish and before she came to live with me in the US she never really had any experience with Marvel Asgardians. At first she was very much against such a flippant version of the mythology she grew up with. But after reading the first couple hundred Thor comics she became a fan.
great work man. love your videos!
Great video as usual my guy

MM. Great! I would like to hear about the late villain the Mysterious Melter, the Unicorn, the Living Laser & Crimson Dynamo.
The Thunder God went for a ride
Upon his favorite filly.
"I'm Thor!" he cried.
The horse replied,
"You forgot your thaddle, thilly!"
Do a video on the legion of monsters
Great video!
Thanks for the amazing video
The latest Thor run has changed Buri (Tiwaz) origin to be an elder god like Gaea
Since you did the History of the Mandarin and Fin_Fang_Foom, can you do history of Ultimo as well as the Shang-Chi villain known as the Death_Dealer?
the phanteons of Marvel!! Yay!! i love marvel's theological take on culture clashes!! Also Thor Marvel Biographys coming soon!! Yay!!
I like your commentary on this one.👍😂

Can you discuss the sentry in the near future
Can you do history of the Beyonder, Crossfire, Living Laser, Iron Monger, Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, Whiplash, Ultimo, Darkhawk, Union Jack, Annihilus, the Badoon and the Broods?
This is great, but when are we going to see comic book history of Mangog?
Can you do origin of the Brood, the Gladiator, Hyperion, Blue_Marvel, Alistair Smythe the Ultimate Spider Slayer, Stingray, Quasar, Squirrel_Girl, Ultimus, Kly'bn, Kang the Conqueror, Annihilus and Tryco Slatterus the Champion of the Universe?
That’s a lot of history- thank you!
~_~
In the myth however, all of the Norse characters are different
Thor is a ginger not a blond
Some of the Asgardian family tree is a bit incestous like the Greeks
Loki had sex with a horse and gave birth to Slepnir
Speaking of which, Thor and Loki weren’t really brothers at all they are either stepbrothers or half cousins
Thor sacrifices his life to defeat the Midgard Serpent Jordmungund
Thor got his hammer after Sif lost her hair by Loki
the Myth Thor DID exist in Marvel...but he died in Ragnarok...the Current Thor is actually a Reincarnation of the previous...Alongside all the Asgardians/Aesir...
I would like to see the origin of the Knights of pendragon
'Nuff said!
You forgot to mention the story where the Storm Giants were the original owners of Asgard
Also Loki starts Ragnorak after killing Balder with a mistletoe arrow
What do you think is the best thing about Asgard and who do you think is the best Asgardian? What would happen if Asgard existed in real life?
This is interesting Marvel Asgard?
Which is better between the original Asgard and Earth's Asgard in both the Comics and in the MCU?
Gaia is a titan the earth titan so you kind of got that right and I believe you named a Egyptian god if I’m not mistaken
Since you did a video on Asgard, why not do a video on Atlantis, or even Wakonda?
What would happen if Thor 5 showed Thor Odinson's family tree like the stories of the Asgardians who were born during the creation of Asgard? What do you think is the best thing about Asgard in the comics compared to the MCU?
What's the difference between Frost and Storm giants aren't they the same?
What realm do the Norns come from?
How many times has Asgard been destroyed in the comics?
What about Hella ?
Apart from Thor and Odin, Who do you think is the best of the Asgardians?
How long till you do history of America-Chavez in honour of the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness along with the history of the Grim Reaper?
Thor is the best series even when it's not!
12:40
The mythological Thor character had red hair and a beard. 👨🏻🦰
Wait wait wait. Did we create the Asgardians or did they create us? 😅
Origin of Asgard hmm 🤔
LIVROS: símbolos
Kazar

What are you talking about, Stan Lee came up with Thor and his hammer Mjolnir. What are these scandinavians and their religion you're speaking of?

You think Marvel Asgard origins are wacko read the original Norse myths.
The world was licked into being by a giant magic space cow.
Really.
