I wouldn't take offence when doing work for someone, in fact I often prefer it when they watch, because A) it saves me time having to explain this later or try find them to ask a question and B) I know I'm doing honest work so it doesn't bother me and C) I know as a homeowner you want to make sure the work gets done right. I used to do IT work. Sometimes the client would log me on to their PC then bugger off somewhere and I'd have to go searching around to ask them a question on what they wanted done, pain in the butt. Or, I couldn't find them and I'd do the job and then at the end they like "oh but I didn't want this or that", or "you didn't do X" then I'm like well ffs you didn't tell me did you

Don't drop your legit price, it's a habbit of brown parents because that's how works here is done, if you come as foreigners in india then many times locals would try to scam you or charge overprice because they think that you don't know the actual rate. Tight spaces and about 100 feet from the van. It took 3 hours in the hot sun, we’re talking all sizes, sliding doors, massive bay windows. At the end he pulled out a 50 dollar bill. Funny to joke about but In reality it’s nothing short of cruel to do that to people, especially in western culture where you’re all alone financially starting at 18.
