  • This video is not sponsored. I previously used the Loreal HiColor Red for dark hair only (on my dark brown hair) and it worked amazing. Years later I decided to try their blonde version and the results were amazing. I purchased the product from Sally's.

    ***JUST WANNA LET EVERYONE KNOW, YOU DEFINITELY DO NOT NEED TO HAVE VIRGIN HAIR FOR THIS TO WORK OR TO USE THIS PRODUCT!!*** I used it to dye my hair bright Rihanna red from black BOX dye with this and it worked beautifully. (Yes I had to repeat process 3 times but it worked and my hair was NOT damaged at all). I'm now looking to do the same but with the brown line (obviously)... So maybe u only had to do it once and use a 20 developer (I had to use a 30, prob coulda achieved faster results with 40) but I was afraid of damaging my hair. My hair is down to my butt so I trimmed it after anyway but it didn't need to be and I achieved my perfect red in 3 times only spacing it apart by a day each then used a good deep conditioner after for about a half hour with a plastic bag tied around my head (or shower cap if u have one). So yes, it will and does work. Your hair is gorgeous though by the way.

      I have naturally black hair and got it dyed an orange brown but it really only took on my roots the rest of my hair was basically black. I tried dying it a natural looking orange again last night and again my hair stayed pretty much black except my roots being a very very dark burgundy. Today I just tried the loreal hi color in a red shade and nothing really happened. It made the rest of my hair slightly burgundy but it's not noticable. The color I used was sizzling copper which is very bright orange color meanwhile my hair is a very dark burgundy. I used a 20 volume developer though. Should I use 30 volume and just dye it 2 more times to lighten it because other people have done it 3 times to get the results. I just feel like nothing will happen since there was almost no change the first time. Was there a big difference the first time you dyed it?

      Hi I have my hair Red Hot from the red line , but it's so hard to keep it looking beautiful. I want to dye it dark intense blonde now. Do you think it will work without bleaching my hair?

    I used this stuff on my hair, which was a dark brown. Using it once got me a light brown with a lot of red in it. I like it and it didn't damage my hair. I used sandstone blond. Gonna give it a couple days and might do it a second time to see if it lifts any lighter.

    Hi! Did you tone with purple shampoo alone or mix it with 10 or 20 volume? Also, did you apply to all of your hair or just the dark areas? Thank you!

    • @prettyuncensored9751
      @prettyuncensored9751  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Purple shampoo alone-no developer! I recommend putting it on the brassier areas to start (for me from the top of my ears and up) and leave for about 5 minutes, then I put it all over for a couple more minutes-it'll blend things out better. If you leave purple shampoo on really light blonde hair for too long, it'll turn purple so keep that in mind.

    I used the loreal hi lift red for yearsss omg I loved it but I recently got a new job and had to have a natural colour so I dyed my hair light golden brown, if I were to apply the blonde would it work for me? I haven't dyed my hair for a month

      I'm not sure I am not a professional. I had color on the bottom of my hair then bleached it. And in this video the top part is virgin the rest isn't. I would say if you stripped the brown it might work but I wouldn't do that all in one bang or you'll damage your hair! But bleaching my color out by a professional didn't work as well for me as lifting with this kit.

      Yes .. they have a line for reds for dark hair only, browns for dark hair only and I believe blonde for dark hair only. It will work. But since your hair isn't that dark anymore (assuming you said light brown) and this is for DARK hair, just use a 20 developer & check on it every 10-15 mins. It will lighten quickly depending on how dark your is now. Also if you want blonde I would definitely suggest asking the girls at Sally's (although alot of them are beauty school dropouts, currently attending beauty school, or just work there but know a decent amount from all the questions they get asked I'm sure.. lol), but ask them about a toner. Just in case the brown from blonde pulls any bronze, orange or brassy tones. Also, definitely DEFINITELY get "Clairol shimmer lights shampoo and conditioner, the girl at Sally's (she's actually a great beautician Iol) told me the generic version works just as good & if you just want to get the conditioner, or if u jist don't want to/can't afford to spend the $ on the set, using the cond works just as good. It's a purple bottle and (the actual Clairol brand) and the generic version which they sell at Sally's too is a white bottle with black lettering that says right on the front "Generic Value Products CONDITIONER compare to: CLAIROL SHIMMER LIGHTS CONDITIONER" What it does is take away the yellow and adds sparkle and shine. It says right on the back your money's guaranteed & it shows the ingredient list of the generic and the Clairol brand right next to each other. It also says for added brightening and extra conditioning to leave on for 25-30 mins. I'm legit reading it off the bottle 😂 I've had it for awhile when my hair was a gorgeous honey/light brown/dirty blonde color 2 year's ago & right after my wedding (like usual 🙄🤦) I dyed it the Rhianna red (which was actually really gorgeous but the upkeep was expensive and time consuming) then dyed it back dark and mixed soft black with a dark natural brown LIKE AN IDIOT SMH lol). Idk when I'll learn about doing it so dark when I know I go through phases at least twice a year and want a new hair color haha. Anyway sorry for the long response. Just wanted to give u some info! Also if you already did it (since I noticed this comment is from 3 months ago) let me know how it turned put!!! ❤️

      Oh also if I didn't mention it in my comment, DO NOT bleach it. It will lift just fine with the loreal hicolor. 😊👍

      It won’t work because it’s meant for virgin dark hair. Color can’t lift color

    Lol i was looking at this in sallys beauty supply a few days ago and it caught my attention, i was originally in there looking at bright unnatural hair colors but i literally just had the ends of my hair bleached and had green coloring on them but the green color washed out and i just had cut off the parts of my hair that were bleached and severely damaged and i only used bleach for the ends twice and with a 30 developer for when i put the green color in so now i cut my hair and it feels healthier and now im focusing on growing my hair out and i want it back to its natural dark medium brown again, but this product seems interesting so im kinda torn lol

    I’ve done blonder to black to red to black back to red and From my experience already dyed hair takes longer to develop .. last time I wen red I still had darker Patches so if u have dyed hair dye that first and also make sure u get more than enough dye

      You need a 30 or it won’t do anything but dry out your hair. You need a really good deep conditioning mask after and olaplex!
