Ayyy, missed ya. Thank you for the tutorials and videos on jstris youve uploaded in the past, ive improved a ton and its made tetris a lot more fun thanks to you/other youtubers! so tysm and dt cannons are one of my fav openings lol
Great tutorial! I wanted to learn DT Cannon after hearing about it from Tafokints's Tetris 99 Twitch stream. When I first played PPT last year, I remember thinking I was really good until I saw the first Japanese players play DT Cannon openers against me. It seemed impossible until you broke it down! A note on pronunciation: Amemiya Taiyou is pronounced like AH-MEH-MEE-YAH TIE-YOH. For the last vowel, you need to hold it out for an extra beat but you'll still have it mostly correct without the extra vowel. It seems like most people find it simpler to just refer to him as Amemiya. Japanese syllables are extremely consistent, so the names are actually easy to pronounce if you learn the basic alphabet.
@@wawitetris5887 I'm not familiar with Spanish, but the vowels are sounded out like this: a - Like the a in father i - Like a hard e, as in eat u - Like a oo, as in loop e - Like the e in get o - Like the o in hope There are some other phonemes that are hard to pronounce for English speakers, such as the r sound and the double consonant type sounds (rya, ryu, ryo), but otherwise the consonants you will probably nail by guessing.
Rewatching these videos, but I was just gonna add that for something you can do after the dt cannon, you can spin a L or J in for an easy quick tsd. It breaks the b2b bonus though, but only for that quick t spin, so if you were just gonna tetris stack, you might as well do it right before (But it's bad for tetr.io)
Hello, I just get into Tetris recently(for about a week) The video is very informative and I like it However, sometimes I can't quite hear what you were trying to say as the video sound is not loud enough(I'm using my phone and even at max volume, I can't completely hear what you were trying to say hahaha) But overall, thanks for the tutorial xD
Are you still streaming? I play tetris 99 and trying to learn some new stuff other than just tetris drops and a double tspins. Learning alot from your videos!
This video made me realize dt canons are way easier than I thought they would be and it instantly clicked in my brain
a lot of setups seem harder than they actually are the first time you see them :)
@@wawitetris5887 Late, but it seems like DT is a huge exception to the rule :)

Hey, I'm glad you enjoy the content :D
Just started to learn Tetris, and your videos were good place to start with for me. Thank you for them and please keep them coming!
glad I could help! anything in particular that you’d like to see?

Tfw i find this easier to do than a regular tspin triple setup. Love how it just goes into 4 wide in an instant after the combo

I just get perfect clear when trying DT Cannons opening for the first time after watching this video. 😀
good luck charm confirmed?
@@wawitetris5887 Beginner's luck, I've done it dozens of times and my first game is the only one that gets perfect clear. I didn't even plan it.
Thank you man, i like DT cannons much more than 4 wides now hehe
good everything’s better than 4 wides :P
@@wawitetris5887 they're slow, need a lot of luck but it really pays off
nice videos but can you get the sound higher up. im playing tetris since 6 months and its fun are getting better too and the videos help ^^

Thank you so much for the tutorials. I would like to see the TKI tutorial
lol this is probably the most requested tutorial so far! so I guess it’ll have to be soon!
at 14:08 is there a reason why you didn't place the I-piece on the left and the J-piece vertically into the hole?
David Song yes, I pressed hold on accident so then I needed to place the T first LOL
@@wawitetris5887 so you weren't really stuck until then :P I look forward to your TKI video

Wawi Tetris what’s your twitch name? I didn’t see it in the info and nothing popped up when I searched your name
Never mind found it
finally can do midgame dt cannons
Suharenco Constantin ayyy those are always fun
What do you mean by rotate clockwise to do the dt cannon
can you give me a timestamp for context?
@@wawitetris5887 13:24
pretty sure I said “counterclockwise” there? basically, I’m referring to the direction you rotate the t piece
@@wawitetris5887 ok thanks
Is it superior than perfect clear?
PC's are faster to set up but it's not always doable in every match. DT Cannon openers are easier but you'd have to memorize patterns.
you can also dt into pc
