  • In today's video I'm comparing PVA glue pouring medium vs Liquitex pouring medium to find out which pouring medium is best. You'll find with the Liquitex pouring medium that it is on the pricier side, however it is a very good pouring medium. I still think PVA glue is a great pouring medium option and very cost effect if you're on a budget. With PVA glue you can experiment with ratios and create your own DIY pouring medium recipe that will give you the results you need. But what were your thoughts on these pouring mediums? Do you prefer the Liquitex pouring medium or will you be creating your own DIY pouring medium by using PVA glue? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

    It didnt look like you added any water to the pva.. 70% pva 30% water gives a better movement.. also you used different paints for each.. that can also make a difference..

    Being new to the process, I think the PVA is the best choice… at least until the experimental stage is behind me. Thanks for this. 😊

    Does PVA artworks go yellow with time? that's what I've heard is a problem with using PVA for fluid art

    • @AnthonyCrammen
      @AnthonyCrammen  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've personally never experienced any yellowing, although I usually add a huge amount of paint to the PVA 😅

    Did you add water with the PVA?

    • @AnthonyCrammen

      Oh it was a long time ago but I don't think I did, just used it straight.

    QUestion : How you scrape a PVA canvas paintin? If you have to do a new start....

    • @AnthonyCrammen
      @AnthonyCrammen  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could still scrape it off when wet but it'll be slightly different to paint alone. You can sometimes peel pva off too once it has dried.

    The PVA one looks like a waterfall, rather like Angel Falls.

    The pva mix was much too thick, you should have added some water ...... i like it myself .... and would not waste my money on liquitex

  • @userMarinainCol
    @userMarinainCol 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How could he do a comparison test without knowing how to properly prepare the pva? Totally not valid. I wonder i Liquitex had a hand in this. I hope not, very dishonest to say the least. Yes, I know it was a few years ago, but it is still lhee and being watched.On top of that, he was "quite pleased" with his first one-way to stretched and colorless.

    • @AnthonyCrammen
      @AnthonyCrammen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Liquitex had no hand in this video lol, I use PVA in my paintings all the time but I actually liked the finish of the Liquitex medium. My 'technqiue' might not have been up to your very high standards but it was just a fun little experiment, stop taking things so seriously!
