I just discovered a 1965 where it looks like someone at the mint had been trying to hide or "erase" failed punches or errors, but accidentally left some exposed. You can obviously see tiny scratches specifically located only over where a previous punch or possibly a Doubled Die error existed. Only on this coin, some erase artist got lazy or distracted. It's very difficult to see at first, but once you make out one letter, the rest are easier to spot and the cover-up becomes more obvious. It's very exciting to discover and explore the ideas surrounding such an incident like why, who and what lead to such an order or attempted scrubbing..
he does tell you how to identify the S.M.S. coin... there is very little chance that you'll magically find it in a coin roll in circulation since they came as SMS..
Can anyone tell me please the best way to sell old coins. I am new to selling been collecting for some time and I know walking into a lawn shop is not the way to go about it. Any advice would be great appreciated. Thanks

I have a 1964 no mint mark in really good shape it's not the brown variety it's really a Beautiful Lincoln cent is it worth anything I would say it would possibly grade at a 67+ or a 68
It is in a 2” by 6” cardboard case. Inside in a plastic case are the penny, nickel, dime, quarter and half. All with no mint mark. Here is a 1967 set on Amazon: a.co/d/hVJCQdc

Again if I have MS ones with L on rim.. it's not worm.. right ? They are for sell also.. pm if interested

These info video's are great : to describe a coin. But,I notice many commenter's, from other countries, think they're rich,if they have a coin U describe. Maybe try to emphasize the max. Worth of such a coin ,& an average worth. Might show some reality to such well-wishers. Jus-sayin'....

They kept all pennys 95% copper until 1982 them changed which now u jus said but all wheat Pennie’s except steeel are the exact same

The green on copper pennies is from oxidation.
A coin dealer is not going to pay you top dollar for that coin you have to get the coin graded and then put it up for auction
