cynic may I ask you a question. I tried to danlode the grimp what ever it's called and when I finished I pressed finish and then I look in my desktop and I didn't find it
I assume by "the Diamond sword thingy" you're referring to the Diamond Sword texture, I got it from my Minecraft installation's resource folders, but you can download them as well.
That would be done the same way, except you would make multiple items and parent them to create a rig. I'll try to do an advanced tutorial sometime and cover this. ;)
You can't turn a "project" into a rig. You can turn an object into a rig the way I said in my first reply. The save icon I'm referring to is not the same icon that you use to save your project, it saves the selected item as an object file.
hi I did an animation of steve getting out of bed then I wanted him to walk over to crafting table make a mobile phone i spent about 40 minutes making him get out of bed so saved it and the save is corrupt or damaged is there any way to get it back
Mine-imator should save backups. If you navigate to your Mine-imator folder, go to Projects and find your project folder, in there should hopefully be a backup save.
+Jack Crookes I've found the backup but I open it then it loads then it pops ups a screen saying open project but my project is already open and when I press cancel it says are you sure you want to exit without saving if I press yes then the whole software closes it won't let me animate am I best to uninstall then reinstall ??

There's a button towards the top of the interface that looks like a square within a square, click it. Check out my earlier tutorials that cover this stuff. ;)

As I mentioned in this video, I recommend Gimp. You can see it in use in my 3D Text tutorial. Others have also recommended Paint.net, but I have not used that one, myself.
Ok so I am trying to get guns for this but I want to just use a texture so I used The Crafting Dead's m9 texture but it like spread all the pixels out....
So essentially I go to the items hit browse and choose an Image like that but then for some odd reason it spreads the pixels apart from each other but I am just using a texture Pack for guns now instead :D. Also just wanted to say I am a big fan of your Mine-imator tutorials because they are really useful!!!

There are tutorials others have made for this. ModelBench also exists now, so you should look into that for custom models.

To my knowledge, Mine-imator does not interact with any other software; you can only import schematics that have been made in Minecraft.

I haven't done a specific tutorial on this, but movements can be made slower by simply moving keyframes farther apart.

The size of the image doesn't really matter. You can just re-scale it in Mine-imator as needed.

Mine-imator has updated since this video. Use As Sheet is enabled by default, and is on the dialog box that displays the texture you're importing.

PNG is correct. You probably need to turn off "item sheet" for your item.

Hmm. I'm not sure. I would check on the Mine-imator forums before doing that, to make sure there's isn't another solution.

Mine-imator uses resource packs in the new update. So you'd go to Data > Minecraft > "Version zip folder" to find the texture files.

For me,I have to go to Data - Minecraft - 1.12.2.zip - assets - minecraft and in there I find the textured folder. Weird.

I can make custom items the other way by making a custom item in minecraft and Importing it!
Either method is valid. I've used that technique in my animations (and a couple of tutorials!), but making custom items this way has its benefits!
Tip Easiest editor to use for that is paint.net
