I'm a recent subscriber, and i just have some constructive criticism; It would be nice if you can say the address of these places. I looked up the Chinese place and there are like 5 paces called "Ho Mei" in the Denver area. I didn't know which one was which haha.
Stumbled on this and loved it. I'm treating the wife to a too-rare date night and for a joke searched worst Denver restaurants. Fun to find this funny/honest/positive video! Finding the good/fun/decent in this so-negative world. Love it! Negative Nellies get too much attention. What a contrast to the snobby restaurant reviews. Looking for the good that's there to be found. Keep it up!
I love chubbys, the smothered fries are my favorite! I know this doesn’t have a low rating but, you should try Tacos Rapidos on feds and evans. That place is bomb!
Was that the Ho Mei on Colorado Blvd in ParkHill? The last time I was there which was years ago I ordered the beef and broccoli and had live little green worms in the broccoli, which told me the food wasn't fully cooked and the broccoli wasn't even washed. I'm sure they have gotten better. But i'm not taking that chance!
I remember when the hamburger stand has hamburgers for twenty five cents, Cheeseburgers for 35 cents. And sodas for fifty cents but this was back in the nineties when they first opened.
Fool they were open in the 70s when i was a kid and the buildings were all black and white and they used to be called the original hamburger stand they dropped the original in their name and added color on their buildings in the early 90s and there were quite a few of them now just a few locations left
Chubbys burritos are good, but just way too hot. I've only eaten there twice, but both times I was in physical pain from how hot they are. I even asked for the green chili on the side last time, but they forgot apparently 😂 I'll have to try their hamburgers from now on lol
Chubby's is bomb! 🔥🔥 Especially the chilli cheese fries. However, different locations have a different taste. I always eat at the Chubby's in 72nd and Federal. That's the best one!
You didn't talk about the service ... or did I miss it? The Asian food looked good. What about trying Good Times burgers and frozen custard? Thank you for the video
Not a ton of service at each spot. Mostly walk up...order and get your food. No major issues. Love good times. Check out my local fast food video🙌🙌🙌 appreciate you
Mexican hamburger w/ chicharrons!!!! 🔥 need to try the the chili cheeseburger thats a whole diff thing!!!! 38th is the og!!!! If your eating at any other one then your missing out!!
I saw a lot of bad reviews for 1.25 scoop located on 10255 Washington Street in Thornton Colorado. That chicken is raw inside. Being over charged. Some food dry and over cooked. To rude staff. Maybe you can check that place out.
Come to Greeley and review a few places. I recommend Sexy Sammies on 8th and 16th, Lunas tacos, weldwerks brewery (has good food), Meekers (attached to double tree).
Ate at Ho Mei off of Colorado and MLK (26th?) about 25 years ago during a lunch break. Then proceeded to spend the rest of my work day, three hrs in the port o potty. No thanks. Never again.
Chubby’s…NO. Too expensive, they certainly don’t know how to season or cook beef, and I had the squirts the two times I tried it. Haven’t been back in 20+ years. Might need to try again…NOPE!
Yeah my husband LOVES Chubby's and I hate it. their service sucks, line is always too long, it's way overpriced and the way they staple plates and package food is disgusting to me. It just feels trashy and unprofessional.
In the 80s there was a chubby on Peoria just north of Colfax. It was a walk up shack with the hottest green Chile I've ever had. Cheap and delicious back in the day
The one in Arvada or the one on Broadway? Both were great, but was it only a urban legend that they made their patties with earthworms? Did anyone else hear that?
Fyi Wienerschnitzel and Hamburger Stand are essentially one and the same. Nothing is "built in". I've had supposedly the best coney chili in the country, and Hamburger Stand (Wienerschnitzel) stacks up to the best, if not the best. You can buy it in cans within these restaurants..not available anywhere else, including the actual Hamburger Stand and Wienerschnitzel websites. People sell these cans on eBay and elsewhere on the internet. This is not a testament to anything except their chili. Although my wife and I really enjoy their chili cheeseburgers and chili dogs. Mostly because of the chili.
I've been to dozens of weinerschnitzels and never saw a hamburger Stand or any connection but it's cool to know it now. The Burger and dog were pretty bad but I really loved the shake. I saw the cans of chili inside
try the tacos at Hells tacos corner of Federal and 10th. is a food truck the shirm tacos are awesome and the weekend the seafoor are the best, the ceviche is the mos delicious in town
The only true wiener schnitzel i know of in Colorado was in Grand junction. Not sure if that's still the case but loved it win i was a kid and. Was the one stop my dad and i made when we drove out west lol
The food at hamburg stand used to be much better but covid really messed them up. I still love there chili it's not spicy but It's still good in my opinion fries burger or hot dogs, there jalapeño poppers & cucumber lemonade is the main thing I go for now days but I'll still get a chili cheese burger or chili cheese fries. Thee original chubbys is the spot the only thing to order is there chili cheese fries con chicharon extra crispy.
I've only had a couple things from Chubbys and it was disgusting asf. Chili cheese fries were nasty asf. I miss Los Angeles and Tommy's. Denver is pretty much a food desert
Dude full of it. Everyone in Denver loves original chubby. Karen cries about opened end burrito😅. Not been doin that since 70's. Go eat at I hop unrated it a 10 😅
The video is based on online reviews, not my own personal views of the restaurant as you clearly missed. I don't like open burritos... doesn't make sense. Still gave them a positive comment. People are so sensitive these days sheesh
If you want one of the best Sesame Chickens in Denver, go to 6th & Garrison at Szechuan Restaurant. DUDE, frickin' good. Also, pro tip: Spring for the Wonton soup! And I already said this on the short, but the next review be: TACO HOUSE.
Are there more than just the one in Lakewood? I used to go to that one 40 years ago lol. Went back a few months ago and it’s pretty much the same but they don’t have the all you can eat there. I lived in that apt complex behind there and we ate there almost everyday back then.
@leonnahofer9138 There are 3 locations. The original on S Federal, The 2nd on Wadsworth just before Colfax. Then, one in Littleton on West Littleton Blvd that has different owners.

My family would always cut out coupons for Hamburger Stand and buy their family meal. I always thought it literally was just a rebranded McDonalds
Hamburger Stand was the bomb in the 90's. Haven't been there since I was a deviant teenager on the hunt for munchies.
Yeah it's just a plain old weinerschnitzel

Hamburger stand used to have a polish sausage sandwich that I really liked. Not sure if they still have it.
Also, Chubbys has always been one of my favorite spots.
We've got a Weiner schnitzel in the springs, opened up a couple years ago, we almost always grab q can or two of their chili sauce when we go
Nice!! What do you make with it!!?
Chubby's is the best hangover food or when you're faded
