You do your normal solves and stuff but 3 x 3 is an old Rubik's brand, 4 x 4 is also Rubik's brand. Basically everything is Rubik's brand and if Rubik's didn't make one you use the worst one of that thing that you have in your collection.

Just an FYI, the magnets you linked in the description from Apex Magnets are *way* too big (the screw head fits through the hole in the magnets lol)

Hi! I recently got into square-1. I average about 45 seconds, and I have a few questions for you.
1. Do you still use the prototype MGC Squan, or do you use the one released to the public?
2. My original un-magnetized Volt V1 just broke, and I was wondering which puzzle you would recommend as a replacement. I am debating between the MCG, Volt V2, and the YLM (only have the YLM on this because of price tho). I've heard the the MGC is better in all ways, but the Volt V2 has magnets in the edges, but I still don't know if that is good enough to choose one or the other. I've also heard that the Volt V2 edges break more often. Has that been a problem for you? Also, do the MGC edges break do you know?

Hi! The prototype has been changed to the final version so the prototype is not available anymore. Despite that, I think the MGC is still the best Square-1 out there. Plan on making a Square-1 comparison soon, but the corner-cutting and stability is the best. YLM is great budget but its performance is not as great. Volt v2 has some edge/corner breaks, but MGC has some core breaks which are not as common and not as bad.

well now you can just get the maglev kit for square 1 from cubicle
I think this mod will not be good with mgc and volt as they are generally a fast cube.
Bit little magic is kind of slow so Sam you can try on little magic sq1
Agreed that this cube is already fast, but the maglev gives the cube a very unique feeling that is worth trying. Already getting really good results with the maglev cube!

why do screws and springs get that kind of black grease on them?
Not completely sure, think its a mixture of core lube and dirt though
it's dust and grime that doesn't really affect much

Gotten the requests but don't think it's too necessary, don't cube as much as I used to and only care about few events. But basically get good at Square-1 lol

Don't have auto focus on and had lots of different shots of the cube so probably out of focus some times, sorry about that :( Will try to fix that more in the future

If they are ring magnets, any should work, but different magnets will bring different results for sure
