This is a video about Like a Dragon Gaiden (mostly) but I have to say this: Japanese OST Industry is such an inspiration to me, mostly because I love listening to OSTs than other genres of music, to the point I, not most of the times, recognize the composer of the OST by listening to it (when it's from a different series, game or whatever) like Hiroyuki Sawano and when I listen to his music outside Attack on Titan, I recognize the instruments he uses, beats, etc. Final Fantasy is such an amazing OST fest too, I loved FF7R (first time I got to play any FF game, even though I'm thinking of playing X someday because it looks like it's going to be able to make me cry), Yakuza OSTs are mostly amazing and I sometimes like to put the fight themes on when I go to the gym, they're such bangers. With all this said, Japanese OSTs mostly never miss for me and give me such an inspiration and they can show you the feelings it has, sadness, anger, happiness, like the songs itselves have some sort of life in it. By the way, it's not that I dislike western OST creators, I love some of them but there's not alot that I can go on, but I can talk about Gustavo Santaolla (that's his name???) from The Last of Us, beautiful guitar play, John Paesano (I think this is his name too???) from Insomniac's Spider-Man, Kevin Penkin is a really good composer as well.

Turns out this was a Final Fantasy 16 video all along. In all seriousness though, God of War Ragnarok, FF 16, RE4 Remake, and Like a Dragon Gaiden (and Ishin) have been some of the most fun AAA (maybe AA) games I've played in quite a long time. They're all amazing breaks from the constant spew of newly released AAA multiplayer games as well as updates for existing AAA multiplayer games. Not to say multiplayer games are bad, they're great if you have friends to play them with, they just get annoying and a bit boring after a while is all.
I think yakuza style is called that is because for the game kiryu is an agent, and since he really can’t be called kiryu cause of the storyline i guess they called it yakuza style cause it’s a more street style of combat and since the dragon of dojima is “dead” they didn’t wanna use the combat version title. That’s my opinion 🤷🏻♂️😂
I wonder if your gonna do a full retrospective of Gaiden after probabaly either a month so that everyone takes in the story into their minds or till you finish the game?
9:50 why not? I kinda like life simulator type of mechanics that aren't that useful but they exist just because. 16:38 I thought I was the only one who noticed this. It was a breath of fresh air. I was tired of seeing the same npc models from Yakuza 6. Another thing is that the in-game cutscenes were improved once again. I was replaying Judgment and noticed how much more stiff the in-game cutscenes look compared to Gaiden.
Something else, that I'm almost certain is new, is that subtitles disappear when you pause, meaning that if you're a slow reader, or have to tab out frequently you may miss important dialouge in cutscenes.
The entire yakuza/LAD series is in gampass, just wanted to remind everyone of this. In case y’all are new. It’s how I got into the series, so I consider this important.
With 0-6 and Like a Dragon, I thought I was getting somewhere with this series, only for them to release 2 more games in the series and I still need both Judgement games. I need them to take a year off.
Im just sad that after the amazing combat of lost judgment they just threw it out the window and went with judgments gameplay. Im desperately hoping they do a patch where they add some kind of hidden arts, a parry, faster style switching and copy the mashing heavy attack in ex heat. Oh and restore the visual flare that counters had (they were pretty cool in LJ)
0 had no extreme heat equivalent. Kiwami however had temporary stat boosts that you could sacrifice your heat for. Be it for speed (Rush), Damage (Beast), Knockdown immunity (Brawler), "infinite" Heat (Dragon).
Hi Snowy! you've done it again! Banger of a video, I'm in the middle of the video where you talk about new character models they added. It seems like they hired a bunch more actors to face model for minor characters (e.g. the guy you mentioned that looked cursed is actually Katsuya Hideto, which fun fact is a costar of Takuya Kimura [Yagami] in the Japanese drama hit, Hero). I know they've been doing this for years now but they hired so many for new models, that I could name a handful of actors that was familiar!

That’s my opinion 🤷🏻♂️😂
the thing is, you cant really get kiryu to be scared and kiryu is too built different to be in agony
I wonder if your gonna do a full retrospective of Gaiden after probabaly either a month so that everyone takes in the story into their minds or till you finish the game?
smoking gives half a heat bar its pretty good now
83Key doing its magic again. blessed that man
besides the great video your music taste is on point every video!!
Development only took 6 months.
RGG: casually cook up one of their best games.
4:08 You can also tell this is the LAD map because yokohama 99 isn't there, you can't visit but you see where it would be
I lost my mind when Shun Oguri (Gokusen, Crows Zero) was in Yakuza 6 but now we got Kson too! I'm kinda hyped. She got me into gunpla.
I can't play this game until Cyric makes his guide to tell me where all the locker keys are and to cheat through the cabaret stuff.
I was replaying Judgment and noticed how much more stiff the in-game cutscenes look compared to Gaiden.
the sephiroth part killed me
Found the Aerith.
he's like a dragon
Gaiden
This game is amazing
So much fun and perfect
I also love the game ost
Love the cape caem in the background
wait there is a charged light attack ???? on YAKUZA STYLE ??
I played 9 hours without knowing ...
Yakuza style is just K2 style specifically, but nerfed to some degree.
Easy answer to 4:10 is that construction workers are just really fast and fickle in the LaD universe
Nice work as usual Snow. Just be ready for a lot of heat when you get around to Infinite Wealth's demo and the English dub.
Rocket boots made me LOL
The graphics in like a dragon gaiden are amazing
Something else, that I'm almost certain is new, is that subtitles disappear when you pause, meaning that if you're a slow reader, or have to tab out frequently you may miss important dialouge in cutscenes.
The entire yakuza/LAD series is in gampass, just wanted to remind everyone of this. In case y’all are new.
It’s how I got into the series, so I consider this important.
Who is this kiryu guy I thought we played as joryu
CLIIIIIIIIIIII1111111ONEONEONE11!!!!VE!!!!
That line goes hard.
What? I thought this was a Final Fantasy XVI video disguised as a Yakuza video.
With 0-6 and Like a Dragon, I thought I was getting somewhere with this series, only for them to release 2 more games in the series and I still need both Judgement games. I need them to take a year off.
One thing I don't like in this game is how the heavy finisher does not track downed enemies 😢
I’d say it plays better than Judgment, not on LJ’s level though.
Thank you for the fun and enjoyable video. 🐉🎉
Love the content bro
Awesome video. Loved the end 😅
10:13 Extreme heat mode was introduced in yakuza 5
But strangly enough it wasn't in 0 or k1 not sure about ishin as I haven't played it yet
0 had no extreme heat equivalent.
Kiwami however had temporary stat boosts that you could sacrifice your heat for. Be it for speed (Rush), Damage (Beast), Knockdown immunity (Brawler), "infinite" Heat (Dragon).
I'm guessing the smoking thing is to setup Kiryu's cancer. Like him smoking has also been made much more prominent in cutscenes as well.
When an Enemy taunts your attacks bounce off for some reason. It happened when I was fighting R****
That's the worst possible way to hide a spoiler, my man. If anyone's played the games they can guess who that is with 99% certainty.
@@jeffreyw901 it not really him actually
Thanks to you, I wanna buy Judgement and LAD Gaiden 👍
4:48 50 seconds of the real reason why we play these games
Kiryu can walk through bushes but Ichiban can't?
Dedicated Yakuza training.
Hi Snowy! you've done it again!
Return of pocket circuit?! Time to buy it
I'm thinking about buying this game today - it looks very fun
There was a physical release of Gaiden through VGP. $60. Not just a simple import either.
Omg the live action cafe stuff is a perfect change
The fact that I can "date" Kson is worth all of my money
