#smkhelmets were kind enough to send me one of their helmets to review. This is a review of their Gullwing Modular Helmet. Disclaimer: I was not paid for this review.
i have this helmet in white and a large fit me as your med fit you so i opted for the xl and i have the same issue with the pop down sunvisor being too short. i wasnt sure if i was wearing it too high which is why im here watching your review (i come from a dirtbike background so haven't worn road helmets before) other than that i really like it for the $199AUD i spent. (i wasn't aware it folded up until i got it home and was having a test fit and testing the vents ect so that was a nice bonus lol)
Does this come with pre cut-out recesses to accept after market comms speakers ? Also, depending where you are, new Laws state that it must lock in the up position and must have a release latch to lower it. Does this model have this ? Cheers.
Thanks for the review but there are two very very important issues left out that I am interested in. One is how much does it weigh Two is it noisy when closed Thanks for any info on that and from anyone on here also.
I don't remember the weight but it's fairly light for a modular. You can find the weight on their website. As far as noise... Well... You get what you pay for. It's a budget modular helmet... You gonna hear some stuff at higher speeds for sure.
I bought one - it’s terrible - the ventilation is total rubbish, and it’s super hot and stuffy. It’s really noisy, especially when at all open. Maybe it’s ok somewhere cold. Honestly wouldn’t buy another SMK ever again
Lovely video Do you know which way the ventilation on top opens? Pushed to the front or to the back? Also how does the front ventilation work? It has 2 positions where bottom or top pushed in, which way is open?

What material is the helmet made of?
Yes, SMK's manufacturing is based in Delhi, India
So do MT
That puts me off
What size did you use in this video?
