This is not balteus theme, this is raven + ayre theme. Gives chills when you realize that in later parts of the game. Especially on balteus NG+, when you know that this is YOUR main theme playing in the background.
My personal top five are Cries of Coral, Steel Haze (Rusted Pride), Contact with you, The man who burnt it all, Resolve. They're in no order, just five amazing tracks
Rough and Decent, Contact with You, Steel Haze, Shell Haze (Rusted Pride), Fire of Rubicon, The Man Who Passed the Torch, The Man Who Burned it All, Cries of Coral, Echoes of Coral, Allmind. There are so many great tracks from this OST. It’s painful seeing so many people completely disregard the beautiful and sometimes haunting soundtrack of AC6. Easily my TOP game OST of the year.
Arguably, the soundtrack had too many weak links and unmemorable tracks between the good ones. Not in the same year, but for example just about every track in ace combat 7 was memorable. While this soundtrack was certainly effective at doing its job of creating a compelling overall experience, I never sat in a menu absorbed in it nor quit the game and walked away humming a theme.
I also am here to complain about Rusted Pride :P Besides joking, I already love this OST so much. It elicits strong emotions while deliberately using synthetic sounds, fully depicting what the game is about: finding humanity and resolve even in the most bleak situations and while you're in a mech :P . Personal favorite is "The Man Who Burned It All" but shoutout to Hoshino AND Miyazawa... they made a masterpiece of an OST.
The original Rough and Decent has so many phenomenal parts (0:30 being my favourite) that makes it so I can never appreciate the 'Bad Joke' version. Also having to kill Chatty and Carla doesn't help.
The saddest part is that killing Chatty and Carla is the best of the three outcomes for Chatty, since he gets a chuckle during that fight compared to the other scenarios
Because of LOVE this OST I'll join in: Steel Haze (speaks for itself, especially with bad ending Act 6, lost to Rusty ten times just to keep hearing this) Watchpoint Alpha (psy-trance vibe, moving steadily into the depths) C-Weapon (overwhelming and intimidating, approaching a large scale secret, appropriate sounds) The Man Who Passed the Torch (tragic, classic From soft "I don't want to kill you but I must in order to progress", Gehrman 2) Destroy the Ice Worm (Group Field Trip, voice work is like additional instruments, cinematic perfection) And Contact With You (Of course) The soundtrack easily beats FF16 for me in terms of quality, variety and originality. Understated in it's presentation. Fitting for a game that is a low-key masterpiece and an example for action type games should follow. Much like the OST: punchy, precise, doesn't waste a beat, tells the story as well as reading lore notes.
ac6 has less bangers, but it uses the atmospheric tracks very well to build immersion, and the few outstanding songs rival some of the best ac songs from older gens
Crazy how the sound track didn’t even get a nomination for GOTY, this really help set the mood of the game
Only for the mood and feels of the game, outside of that they're meh
@@ben_rez08 nah, rusted pride is a banger
The balteus theme is far and away the outstanding piece of the entire soundtrack. I wish a few more tracks brought the same energy.

Rusted pride for me is just ❤
Yea, that track hits hard on the first playthrough. Rusty, a true buddy 🪦
Everyone forgets about unbreakable. Its easily the most underrated song in the game.

Because of other gr8 songs from earlier entriesof AC games even though music in each gen has changed a lot.

Man no Arena Theme "Verification" a fire song for those early arena battles

props for giving credit to the individual composers of each track
BALTEUS THEME SHOULD BE THE NATIONAL ANTHEM
also insane that Rusty’s theme isn’t in the top 5
Ive been looking for contact with you for so long 😭
What an amazing feeling to finally find a song after looking for it for a while, isn't it?
Fires of Rubicon, High Pressure, Balteus Theme
I need this background as my desktop background holy shit

The man who passed the torch, Rough a Decent, contact with me, steel haze-rusted pride, stargazer
I‘m sad nobody ever says anything about the track Cinders from the disk 3 ost. It‘s my absolute favorite and carries so much emotional weight.

Steel Haze (speaks for itself, especially with bad ending Act 6, lost to Rusty ten times just to keep hearing this)

The Man Who Passed the Torch (tragic, classic From soft "I don't want to kill you but I must in order to progress", Gehrman 2)
Destroy the Ice Worm (Group Field Trip, voice work is like additional instruments, cinematic perfection)

rusted pride
@@Ceraphid thx
Gane of d a yeeet!
Rusted pride is better than three of these. Only Stargazer and Contact With You are decent choices here.
The past ac games had better osts
there's only 6 good tracks in the game. fromsoft have been slacking in the soundtrack department for the last few releases
I disagree
L take.
