The set design is very clever, since you don't have to worry about storing five or six different ones in your garage. I love this! I do a 30 second stop-motion project with my art students and the animations turn out so cool! It's intimidating at first when I tell them how many pics they have to take, but once they get started they get into a rhythm & it goes pretty smoothly.

Wow!!! I find the making off films just as good as finished movies, this is just great!! Also have you heard of stickybones? They're a highly articulated animatable figure (you can get them on a kickstarter thing from indiegogo) I'm not selling them I just think they're really cool (I'm trying to get some myself) thought you might like them as apposed to your wooden figures you use.
You should make another one accept with a different Dino and I also just love this stop motion because it was hard work and also with this really good painted indorapter!!!
Will do! And I glued the mannequin down each step with hot glue then I would just pry his foot up when I needed to. Had to drill the feet into the base for the indoraptor
The rotating base was an extremely clever way of adding motion when you only have a tiny workspace. Anything you were inspired by that use similar sets?
I took the concept from stage plays that use similar platforms but I've never seen a small one used like this. What's funny is that the concept of the small rotating set base was really what inspired the story.

Hi! I have been watching some of your videos and you are a really great animator. I do a little bit of stop motion, so I’m always working to figure out what I can do better. In your indomation video you are able to move the camera smoothly while the things happening on screen we’re moving at stop motion at a different pace, and it gave it a professional looking affect. I was wondering, if you had a minute, if you could kind of let me know how you were able to do that? I totally understand if you can’t but I just would really like to learn how so that I can implement it into some of my animations. Right now I’m just a kid, and don’t have enough money for anything besides legos to animate with 😂, but I am really working to try to make my animations stand out and I think it would be good to learn from actual animators. No pressure to respond, I totally get it. Thanks!
