I have an SSS pickup stratocaster because I only really liked pink floyd / prog rock when I got into guitar. But now I like more heavy / djenty stuff, so i wanna ask, is it possible to get this kind of genre's tone on my guitar? If so, how (is it just a lot of gain?), if not, what kind of guitar should I get that is relatively affordable. A 7 string of course, but more like what pickup config and what brand The sound I'm trynna get is whatever is in "Tesseract - Altered State" album. Specifically the songs Exile or Nocturne.
I love how upbeat and energetic this is!

Dude look into the Ibanez stuff! Maybe Iron Label? I played Ibanez for years, can’t recommend enough for an “affordableish” guitar. Good luck man!
what stuff should i learn to be able to do these sort of riffs with tapping and all?
Look into some riffs from the Afterimage~!
