If Australian racists like Pauline Hanson can get funded, then your 'Not Australian activists' should be funded too. And by the way, the true Australian is an Aboriginal. The rest of us are imports of one variation or another.

There should be a code of ethics a senator or politician should be held to account and be responsible for. I understand a politician is a human and has a right to a conscious opinion or vote. But in this case she is clearly in defiant of her politics and wants to defy the party line, which means she should resign and her seat goes back to the Labor party senate line for that state.

These pliticians are meant to have the concern of Australians not bring in their radical concerns from other countrie. Must not be tolerated. Australians must be very very careful who they vote in ifbthey want to keep their country.

She is a pride and honour for Australia who stand for justice and raised the voice of voiceless in a country where she believes it has to walk the talk. Maintain and comply to human rights and protect little children who are butchered daily by warmonger a so called stated which is nothing but a war promoting machine. She stand for Australia to comply to moral and ethical standards like many countries stop genocide support

No negotiating with Hammas terrorists, well said. Palestinian 🇸🇩 needs to be under an Israeli government & Not a Islamic terrorist organisation.

Just curious if her employers receive an incentive for her employment. My guess is that it is hers too, that She can do this and will not be expelled.

The problem with recognising Palestine as a state is that it forces the two-state solution upon Israel and the occupied territories of Gaza and the West Bank, where neither Israel nor governing authorities of the occupied territories of Gaza and the West Bank support the two-state solution. It is also complicated by acknowledgement of Palestine as a state also tacitly recognises Hamas as it's legitimate government (at least in the case of Gaza).
It's a perfectly reasonable position to not want Palestinian civilians to be killed in conflict, and I'd like to think that the Greens and Payman have that idea front and centre. It's also completely naive to think that if the Israeli Defence Forces were to pack up and go home and Palestinian statehood established under Hamas that peace would reign and we would never again see in October 7th...
Penny Wongs example of advocacy behind the scenes shows how the Labor way is supposed to work on these matters of conscience instead of causing mayhem and disunity in the party publically

As of June 2024, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 145 of the 193 member states of the United Nations. The most vociferous objectors are those with a violent colonial past (similar to Israel) such as the USA, UK, France and Australia. They are also countries prominent for Islamophobia [Just have a read of some of the racist comments below towards people from Middle Eastern Muslim countries]. Senator Payne will emerge in Labor history as someone who had the guts to stand up for Palestinian self determination.

Palestinians given chance in 1948 for an Arab state along side Jewish state n refused. Calling for a new state while eliminating another is genocidal n not acceptable

I don’t hear Palestinians asking for an independent state. Are they so incompetent that they need others asking for them? This makes no sens😮e whatsoever. What do they want?

@@acqueenarkpyanne721 Palestinians were driven out and made refugees in neighboring countries in 1948. Get educated and read 'The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine' by Ilan Pappe the foremost Jewish historian of our time.
