Really helpful, thanks! I was thinking about getting a foldable water bottle mainly for space reasons (I also have a Nalgene one). I'm currently a full time backpacker and thru all these years lightness and space saving have become crucial on my trips. The Hydrapak looks like a very good investment.

      hey, I just wanna ask:
      - I've heard people complaining about a "toxic plastic taste" when drinking from the bottle. I'm personally not really fuzzy about that sort of things, specially on trekkings, but I would like it to be my everyday bottle when I go out. Did you notice a big difference with the Nalgene in those terms?
      - Did you ever got the chance to use the previous, smaller version (750 ml)? I couldn't found any of the bottles in the physical stores at where I am and although the smaller size seems a bit more convenient for me, I also think than the 1L bottle must be an upgrade in terms of quality.
      Thanks!
Backpacking has been great. Quit the job and went backpacking -like most of the stories-. I travel on a budget basis, working when it's posible and saving for the trips. I've been mainly in the eastern hemisphere, though but now I'm heading home soon for a visit, swap most of my gear and prepare for the next :)

+Cela López your story is so cool! Personally I have not experienced the plastic taste, I love this bottle!
I have tried the smaller one and it's nice with the squeeze nozzle but I really like the volume advantage of the Liter one!
Hope that helps! Keep me posted on your journey I'd love to feature you on my channel if you were ever interested in an interview!

Funny, I found my old hydrapak bottle, but mine is a lot older than yours.

How’d the hydrapak hold up after 5 years?

Great vid! I had a question about the lid. Is the opening wide enough so that the inside can be properly cleaned? I've tried various collapsible water bottles in the past and a recurring problem I've had is that with prolonged use the bottom of the bottle can grow bacteria..

+xExit98x I'm not sure for sure but it looks like it might, the dimensions for the bottle I think I linked in the description
