The craziest thing about his dancing is that not only is he dancing, every movement is a means of conducting the band. If, even for a second, they didn't have their eyes on him, he'd know and fine them. He was in tune and sync with everything happening

      03:17
A hundred percent correct, fam. Its why the drummer he had for the show he did at 03:17 part of this video was fired. If I recall correctly he told him in the most unique way I've ever heard by saying, "I don't get it. I thought you were as good as what I heard you were. But now the only thing I know is as long as this airplane is in the air, you have a job." 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣. Leave it to Mr. Brown to go a different & further route than what would've been sufficient enough like just saying "You're fired bcz you don't understand how I conduct this band." I think the only other firing of a musician that made me unintentionally laugh as hard was "The Killer" Jerry Lee's firing of his drummer after he fired his gun at him for whatever reason he did, I can't remember. But I remember he said something along the lines of, "I have to fire him. I need a drummer & now that he's been shot, he can't play." The artists & geniuses that paved the way for our music today may not have been the greatest ppl but, by God, they did & succeeded in what God sent them for. They were geniuses. Who would've ever thought to use their dancing & movements to entertain a crowd & simultaneously conduct a band. And as you said, Mr. Brown was in total control the whole time so much that if you ever saw him flash 5 (fingers) behind once to a few times, he was telling whomever that just messed up that he caught it. The amount of time(s) he'd flash 5 was the amount he'd charge/deduct their pay for messing up. Whether it was 5, 10, 15, 20 dollars. He was completely in sync with everything that he could entertain the hundreds or thousands of people who came to see him, wholeheartedly so, & still be taking note of where every sound from every instrument was coming from & when. I have not nor do I think I ever will see another genius musically like Mr. Brown. In fact when I hear that idiot Kanye West say he's the greatest artist & most important one of all time, I know for certain that he has cast Mr. Brown out of his memory. A man that created numerous genres & styles of music...& he only purposely made a couple of them, being soul & funk. The other genres like Rick James's brand of funk, George Clinton's brand of funk, R&B, Hip Hop were just created & inspired by what he created in funk & soul. Till this very day no one has been more sampled in hip hop than James Brown & I can still his iconic screams & screeches weaved into various beats today. Mr. Brown was very special. Our government grew fearful of him the night he performed in Boston after MLK's assassination bcz he knew how loved & respected he was & had arranged for his performance to be aired in various places across the country to keep broken hearted & angry ppl from rioting across the country, they allowed it but didn't think he was that valuable nor powerful until afterwards when it was revealed that no riots happened across the country during the time of his performance & it was actually bcz ppl were staying home to watch him. He even stopped the disturbance & potential riot that was about to happen during that show between the audience & the police their that night. It made our government feel if he had enough say & power to stop war in this country, he easily had enough power to start if ever he saw fit. Although I'm only 28, I can't be convinced of any artists being better than "Mr. Dynamite", "The GFOS", "The Hardest Working Man In Show Business", a man of & with great respect who would call Ms. ..or Mr. .. & insist that you called him...Mr. Brown

James Brown, James Brown. The man could play and belt out any far out song. When it came to dance he sure put the move on groove. I am grateful that I finally started listening to his music before it was too late. He is an amazing human being, musician and artist. His music and talent had to left an indelible mark on humanity making the world, while he was alive, a much more liveable place. Thank God for his life, his gifts and talents, he set the world on fire and we wanted to go higher. May he rest in peace and find no waiting line or que in trying to pass through heaven's gate. May he be welcomed in immediately. His gift to humanity was and remains sublimè.
