Is there such a tool for only small areas. Maybe a hand held tool?

Is this available to hire for children's birthday parties?

Who said that the thin set HAS to be removed anyway? Wont the new thinset BOND to the old?
My floor was DOUBLE TILES (thinset + tile + thinset + another tile). So, the height isn't a concern for me once I get down to the thinset that is on the concrete. My concern is, WHY {{must}} I remove it? No one is saying WHY it MUST be removed. Only one guy I've spoken with told me to go ahead and tile over the existing thinset.

The process is removing the thinset as well as profiling the concrete.
You will get a much better bond as well as a level surface resulting in a better overall all tile installation.

By the letters you used on your profile pict. it’s bond and in your blood to be cheap. No one has to move anything, but you are just adding weight to your floor. I’m trying to paint the floor and the previous tenant left the thinset behind.
