I have to add that Bobby's work in that courtroom deserves analysis. He exposed the corrupt power dynamic of the Judge and your constitutional right to defend yourself as one accused. The Judge was exposed in his robotic speech as a mere computer for the system of white supremacy. If you listen the Judge really wanted respect and deference to his position as Judge and Bobby refused to give that to him.

Fyi - Abbie Hoffman, one of the Chicago Seven and head of the Yippie Party, was a great friend of Bobby Seale and the Panthers, as he donated all his $30,000 royalties from his book sales "Steal This Book", not a cent did he keep, to the Black Panther Party. That is how much he believed in the "cause". Power to the People, Tight On!!!!

Gotta keep your poise and emotional control when speaking with the Judge. Bobby Seale in his rightful emotional feeling of expression began to overstep his boundaries with this Judge and use labels against the court i.e. the Judge. Labels like pigs and fascist and racist are gaslight explosive speech in court. Show the racist who he is without calling him that. Expose the mechanical system of white supremacy in controlled emotions and clear speech. Don't insult or lose your emotional self. Lesson learned. Love you Bobby Seale and thank you for your sacrifice.

    • @clydedixon4870

Under normal and humane circumstances I would agree with you. However, enough was enough. During that period in this country’s history, people of color (aka) the Black Man, had been dehumanized, ostracized, and emasculated to the point that a spectacle had to be made if for no other reason than to illustrate the inhumanness Blacks were subjected to. Keeping in mind that this was 4 and 5 years respectably, after the voting rights act and the civil rights acts were signed into law. So I do agree that to win at any game, one must master the rules of that game and play it within the boundaries of the rules. Conversely, the governmental establishment did not and does not play by any rules. Bro Bobby raised up against the rules, and what we are listening to in this recording, is the consequence of a Brother being cheated on, and rebelling against a cheater(government hypocrisy).

Read "Seize the Time.. Story of the Black Panther Party" by Bobby Seale himself.
His style may be rough and tumble, but his message is crystal clear. Everyone has their personality, and Bobby has a good heart, sane mind and compassionate intelligence for the suffering of people.
"White power to the whites, brown power to the browns, yellow power to the yellows and black power to the blacks."
      Fred Hampton
"So let me emphasize again- we believe our fight is a class struggle and not a race struggle."
      Bobby Seale

Bobby had to try to get that imbecile who was hammering on his desk and repeating "sit down" like a parrot , to give him his right. Then the irreverent jackass racist facetiously wants Bobby to speak on a totally different subject.... Of how the high & mighty charged him with contempt. Like wtf? What a sneaky psychologically demented guy. He wanted to hear AFTER he accused Bobby, from the safety of his judgmental discriminatory sentencing and was all along prodding Bobby to see how many charges of contempt he could rack up.
      So disgusting.

Sad that this is still going on today, at least for the ones that are not murdered in the street so that due process is not an option. This is why it is our responsibility to know the laws of this state and the laws of the land the Constitution, which in my opinion is sorely outdated. Look who it was written by. We had no say, and only garnered limited priveleges that the government can grant to anyone citizen or not. Considering the original authors of the constitution, a new one needs to be created and instituted with a more diverse group being the authors this time so that it is assured that all men are finally created equal

      It's just amazing.
The judge here is blatantly a criminal, and every time Bobby speaks the truth, all he says is SiT DOWN... There's no reason Bobby can't represent himself.
