      Hey Dave take it slow, you can not learn everything all at once. Just do one a week or one every two weeks. I certainly don’t want to be held accountable for turning Your brain 🧠 in to mush lol 😂

    I admit to not understanding _only because_ I don't have this program. _However,_ let it be known that if I _did_ have Affinity Photo, you do great lessons! Just look at that: all of the people in the photo are cheering for you too!!! :) Hugs and blessings to you and yours, Michael!

    I am stuck from the beginning. When using the filters-high pass and go to the 13.1 level it is virtually full colour, nothing like your example. I am using Windows 10.

    • @MikeAffinityTuts
      @MikeAffinityTuts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Michael I have just re created again to see if I could find out what is happening for you ? I still get the same result, I would not think being on windows should make a difference. Couple of things to check, on the high pass filter is monochrome checked and is your picture a pixel layer ? Let me know and I can try help more ...Mike W

      @@MikeAffinityTuts Hi Mike, many thanks for the reply. I have found that by setting the high pass to 3.1 it matches the example in your video. I then followed the remainder of the instructions and it has worked out fine. I have even tried one of my own photographs and , that to, worked the same way. Cannot explain why the setting is different but very happy with the result. Have always enjoyed your videos and found them very helpful for a novice like myself.

    I have a suggestion, whether video bloggers should try it, convert all videos with Affinity photography skills into short videos, and then send them to short video platforms such as TIKTOK. Maybe users on the TIKTOK platform like short video tutorials

    Pretty neat, but I have several issues: when I followed your procedure exactly, going back to the levels adjustment had no effect, you went really fast when moving things up and down. I would also like to understand why you merged layers at various points.

    • @MikeAffinityTuts
      @MikeAffinityTuts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mr Mack sorry you are having some issues with the tutorial, merging layers has a number of uses, it reduces the file size, as well as combining the two or more layers into a single layer, keeping the integrity of the adjustments or changes you make into a single layer. Not sure why the levels did not work for you, very hard for me to diagnose unless I can see exactly what you are doing from start to finish. Its been awhile since I have done that tutorial, if I get time I will revisit it again and see if I can find any solutions for you. Thanks so much for watching and commenting ....Mike
