- The Olympic Games in Tokyo are over and I would like to draw a small personal conclusion. I would also like to share some impressions of our journey back home and the welcoming in Germany.

I'm Japanese so was supporting Japanese team, but I was supprised at your strength, in particular, team semi-final's 3rd game vs Mizutani.
And, in final, I was looking forward your game vs Ma Long. That game was very exciting, and you were cool.

the very first time i know the name of Timo Boll was on a blade(, but i got my self an Ishlion instead). Didnt know the person or face back then, I guess it was 10 years ago or so.
The very second i watch his video on youtube, i didnt expect someone so legendary to be brimming with humility and wisdom. This person right here is exactly the person everyone needs to learn from. Ma Long may be the best player ever, or at least so far, but as a persona, Timo Boll would be the first person in my mind as TT Legend. His love and dedication to this sport is undebatable. Timo, I'm an occasional competitive table tennis viewer and was surprised when I found out you were still competing, let alone at the Olympics given your seniority! I was rooting for you throughout the two weeks. Hope to see you participating in the 2024 Olympics as well!

Timo, just let you know. You are the most supportive foreigner table tennis player in China. You are kind, modest, honest and strong as well. That’s exactly what an athlete needs. (Also good-looking) A medal is not that important comparing to your personality and the process. You are the uncrowned king! You are a real hero! You have won all fans’ respect and love.

Die Größe muss man auch erstmal haben zuzugeben: "er war an diesem Tag einfach der bessere Spieler." Hut ab! Schade für den Einzelwettbewerb für dich, aber dafür habt ihr alle einen grandiosen Team Wettbewerb gespielt.
Ich würde mal behaupten, dass viele andere Spieler 10-15 Jahre jünger bedeutend schlechter gegen Ma Long aussehen, als du mit 40. Einige Ballwechsel waren schon echt krass und einen einen Satz haste ihm ja auch abluchsen können. ;)
Glückwunsch zu der großartigen Leistung und Silber mit dem Team.
Ich hoffe du bleibst uns noch ein paar Jahre erhalten. Deutscher Tischtennis ohne Timo Boll ist irgendwie kaum vorstellbar.

You are one of the greatest players ever. You are inspiring me. Never give up and go hard. You can beat Chinese and Ovtcharov can. Do some extra work, prepare for Fan and Ma. They are not machines they are humans but with system. Create system to beat them. That should drive you to success.
