Fabulous quality video - beautifully shot and edited 👏👏👏 I did not realise there was a train that covered both lines, so that's definitely on the to-do list. First class, naturally...!
Congratulations to the staff and volunteers and everyone involved, it looks like it was a great day. I'm looking forward to the time when I can join the fun.
Beautiful video, well done! We were the couple in seats 1 & 2 at the Porthmadog end of coach 152; as you saw, I was filming for 'TeamPIRATE Productions'. {Being partially sighted, film will take some time to Edit.)
Thank you kindly. We used five cameras on this production including a couple of GoPros a DJI drone. The main cameras are both Sony, an PXW-Z90V and a RX100 mk7.
@@FfestiniogWelshHighland now apart from being fun, that actually makes a lot of sense, not least as a belt and braces manoeuvre - thanks for clarifying \m/
IIRC The tank wagon is a copy of a wagon used on long runs in the waterless Namibian desert, the sprung buffers reduce buffing forces between the two locos and extend bogie pivot life

Excellent videography as usual!!!
First Class filming and editing! Da iawn!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Some stunning footage of my favourite railway, bet that’s a really nice day journey.

Beautiful!
Great to see you on 143, Ian!!
Wonderful!
Lovely video
Just wondering why does 143 and 130 have that metal sheet behind the whistle
Makes it sound not as good
Love a nice Welsh train
Got to be the best rail journey in the British Isles.
25:28 Those hooligans were up to no good & did not expect the train! 😂
I appear briefly in it while at Blaenau, super journey, super locomotives, super railway
Fantastic edit as always!
Aw Shucks.
Wonderful production as always. What sort of cameras, AND how many, would be used to produce these excellent videos?

Good pics Whal from Uncle Mike
Was it just me or did the 143’s whistle make the young driver or fireman on the Fairlie jump out of their skin?
Well to be fair it always makes me jump out of my skin!
What is the logistical matter that requires the second Garratt plus a tank wagon? Is that to save the refuelling stop at Dinas? \m/
The guests on the train pay for extra motive power as part of their ticket.

Tank waggon to spread the load on the bridges??
This was the use in previous years but since the rebuilding of Plas y Nant bridge it is now only a photographic requirement.
