The activities in the “fire” behind you looked quite interesting. But seriously, the railway goes from strength to strength. Well done. Happy Christmas to you all.
Merry Christmas to you all. We enjoyed a fantastic family holiday in Porthmadog in August with trips on the FR and WHR. An undoubted highlight for us all was the trip around Boston Lodge. We are actually in this video update going around the works, on showing this film to my daughter she became very excited! Another FR fan 😊
My first trip from Nottinghamshire to ride on the FR 1961 my last 2022, countless in between. My wife has also been over for 53 of those years. Too wobbly to make the journey now but thanks for wonderful memories!
A Very Merry 🎄 Crimbo to All What a long way things have come since Tom Rolt described the earliest seasons of preservation (a few miles south of Porthmadog) as operating 'from bluebell to blackberry time'. Next year, I'll be particularly interested to learn the view from the workshops (and the Accountant's Office!) of how the NG15 compares with the NGG16. Will two cylinders working harder prove more or less cost effective than four working more within their capacity? Which will burn less coal? Which will be cheaper to maintain? I'm guessing the Garratts will present the more comfortable footplate, but can't be certain. Will careworn No.133 be moving off the end of that siding any time soon? ... and why wouldn't badgers prefer a set dug into an embankment above the usual waterline? 🦡🦡🦡

Well done for the hard work by all the staff and volunteers throughout 2024. Looking forward to a fabulous 2025.
A railway in safe hands. Well done, Paul. And thank you!
Thanks to everyone for such a great season! Getting soaked waiting for K1 & JS during September has to be the highlight 😅
Thank you for everything, little gutted to hear they'll be no superpower or WHR focused event this year.

Happy new year
Thank you.
I think you may need to get your chimney swept. Seems to be lots of elves causing trouble in the fire.
