@ObiwanNekody I think the current art really does sell it as this massive missile carrier, it looks blocky and heavy, fitting for a 70-ton war machine!
I really like the Archer. But I also really hate rear facing weapons, or rather, I really hate not being allowed the option to change the facing of the weapon without a house rule.
@@readwatchlisten2863 That is a rather silly part of the ruleset, I do admit. Pretty much everyone I've played with on the table is cool with changing the facing, and at least rulewise, it's a Mod that doesn't effect BV so far as I understand it, but the fact that it's technically a modification to a stock variant is a little silly, I agree.
The thing I hate about so many missile platforms in the 3039 to Clan Invasion era is that they always insist on having one variant that puts a NARC launcher on it. _Please keep NARC systems on lighter faster chassis that can get in, tag their rather, and then get out. The Raven? Perfect. Kintaro? Outstanding. Archer? No. Stalker? Gods no! Personally, my favorite Clan Invasion era NARC platform is the Hitman. Particularly since I tend to play Kurita units. The Hitman is very much a support/eWar platform
@WolfHreda Huh, I haven't looked into the Hitman yet. May have to take a look! As for NARC, I agree. I can see inner Sphere engineers thinking it's a good idea to have an all-in-one platform, but when it comes to using them on the battlefield, the mexhwarriors themselves know that weight could be put to better use!
The Archer is one of the mechs that I dislike the older artwork of but really like the current design and sculpt.

Thank you for sharing 😊
@@ObiwanNekody Absolutely!

changing the weapon facing is like the easiest modification to a battlemech. rules wise

@thevoiceofiron my game group is perfectly fine with changing the facing. However, there is a game near me that wasn't cool with that. 🤷♂️
