You beat me to the punch in wanting to talk about this! Yea, that song edit was too noticable for me to NOT pause and find another post of this clip so I could find what the band originally played. As a Chicagoan, it saddens me that The Blues Brothers intro theme couldn't be used on an official David Letterman clip.

I feel like if you can't get rights to the music, don't post it on the official Letterman channel with that horrible edit. Not worth it mainly because you can't hear Farley screaming and the audience cheering and clapping. The music I can take or leave, but that audio of everyone screaming is priceless.

When i c Chris, i see a man in pain. He DESPERATELY wanted to be liked. His mind set was “I’m gonna make fun of me b4 they do”. Its a defense mechanism. Wish he loved himself more. He would probably be around today. On a comedy note, he was great on SNL. He was just scratching the surface of what he was gonna do. He was gonna do the Fatty Arbuckle story and he was the original voice for “Shrek” too.
