Khorne's army coul'dve probably won this if the bloodthirsters were helping out Skarbrand to defeat the Terracota guards and dragon gods while more hellcanons, hounds and furies were deployed to take out their artillery.

Khorne took it Rae on this day. Those blood thirsters talked a big game but once those aerials gave them a flaming facial, the rest folded like chaos cards! It wasn't even fair. They didn't even make it in the city! Great job, empress!
beautiful game, an only wish I had was that there was more effects surrounding the demons, it looks too "clean". Like there should be a red haze around the bloodthirsters and warp energy affecting the reality around them somewhat
I was expecting the forces of khorne to be actually running when they attacked after all that build up saying that they were excited for the blood and skulls awaiting them, yet they just walked through cannon fire for most of the time. They even stopped at one point while taking fire
Same here. Honestly was disappointed seeing that they barely had any ranged units when the other team had a good amount of ranged weapons. They lost a good amount of troops because they were being slaughtered by the artillery units before they even reached the castle!
@@meatyboy8811 They only have the doom canon as artillery as a ranged unit and some marauder horse archers. But their infantry would normally have teared through Cathay very easily, but a great lack of simply non-tactical decisions caused them to lose. Spoilers: using the horse archers means they are taking a spot a much better unit could be taking.
In game they may, but it took one of the most legendary warriors to take out a generic Bloodthirster 1v1 so in lore I think they'd all be come foothold on Khorne's throne in less than a minute

Skarbrand has a unique ability in which he gains weapon strength as he gets more kills (each model in a unit counting as a kill) to the max of 100% extra strength, so throwing him into a brick wall of Sentinels right away isn't going to end up well for him. However, if you grind him through hordes of infantry and let him farm some skulls for Khorne for a while, you can then throw him into a single entity and he'll absolutely butcher the thing.

I still agree with you lore-wise, Khorne and his daemons are absolute menaces and would probably stomp on them big stoney boys.
What's scary is that if Skarbrand just ignored those guys and got his stacks up so he had 3k weapon strength, he probably would have bullied those Terracota Guards and the Dragon without too much difficulty.

Great battle, as always! But I don't really understand why at 6:12 when Khorne cannon shot at that balloon with missiles it didn't burn. In real life, it would definitely be one shot, and the balloon would be out of action
2 things, khorne warriors are supposedly unbreakable because he hates cowards & punish them. Also, the kongmin should have been down with the first impact.
Idk who was running the khorne army but they need a lesson in basic tactics. Like not sending large calvary into anti-large braced formations and not waiting to send your flyer units after the flying artillery until they spend most of their ammo.
I'm sorry... it's just... the hoard is marching through a field of wild flowers that looks straight out of some sort of happy go lucky movie... it's hard to hold in the laughs...
well Skarbrand offered many skulls for Khorne, including his own army. Khorne must be happy about it XD and he must realize Powder is always better than demon :p

Without knowing anything about Warhammer III, it sure looked like 95% of the Cathay army was just there to serve as a meat shield. The only thing that seemed to do any damage were the balloons (of which it seemed like there was only 1? Or perhaps 1 per front?), the giant guards, and the dragon.
No problem with the female gunnery units, but the mixed regiments don't look right to me. All the female soldiers are as tall as their male comrades? 50 kg women fighting giant Khorne beserkers? With the female gunnery units and the mixed melee regiments there are basically more women in cathayan amies than men. Cathay is supposed to be a very populous nation. Men are much more expendable than women. Wouldnt they send their men of to war to become frontline troops? No problem with female heroes, wizards and ranged units but rank and file spear units make no sense to me
@@Specoups everything goes against that. The people of Cathay are human. There are tons of other human realms (Empire, bretonnia, Kislev, etc.) Why do they not field mixed regiments? Only answer is, cause this faction was created or atleast fleshed out in 2022 and box ticking representation is more important than making sense.

The wu xing war compass shoots magic missiles if I remember correctly, kind of like a luminark, although it seems a bit like a Mortis engine as well
The best part of this game is zooming in and just enjoying the sheer beauty of massive scale combat
I'm really surprised the war junk balloon survived all those hits from the cannon and the general. Sturdier than being a balloon would imply.
