My parents bought a house in Pine Hills in 1985 and still live there. We grew up riding our bikes all the way to Barnett Park and all over Pine Hills safely! I’d never allow my kids to do that in today’s world. I graduated from Evans, and it was a bad school in the 90’s and early 2000’s - and it hasn’t gotten any better! So many of the homes aren’t even taken care of anymore, and people are willing to spend more on their car than on their home - aka, don’t buy a house in Pine Hills and then park your Lexus in the driveway!

How sad that he had to experience that. I lived in Pine Hills when I first moved to Florida in 1987. I could see the white flight taking place around me at that time. I'm so happy that I did not grow up with that ignorant behavior in my life.

I know a lady that grew up in pine hills she is in her 70s now. She said it was glorious and then certain groups of people move in and everything went to hell.
