For me the biggest issue is that I would really love to play vanguard but can‘t. I live in northern germany and there is simply no Place where I can play. I know no one who plays it and singles are extremely hard to get. Back then I played yugioh but I dont enjoy playing it anymore. This solitaire Style of play is just not for me. Since around 1 1/2 years I play MTG and have been pretty satisfied with the game. But yeah. The main problem is that I just cant play vanguard in paper because I feel like that its dead in germany.
Well for most of these issues there is always remote duel as a option (I own a German discord remote server but I don't post the link cuz I don't want to promote my server unless I get permission) and these are the best options for people who want to play but don't have a shop which supports it
Same here, kinda like the game but just end up not caring because it's dead around here so even tho I dislike the current state of yugioh I just end up sticking to it, might get into the pokemon tcg again. I also hear similar stories from people all over, they have an interest but it's dead in their area while bushi does absolutely nothing to try and grow the game in the west. Expecting it to end up like Duel Masters eventually, dies out in the west and keeps going in Japan as it seems to be doing better there.
These based takes and honesty is why you're my favorite VG creator, Solemn (oh and the Nexus at Night dudes are cool too) and even though I would love more VG content, I totally understand. Peace!
I agree on pretty much all of this, the only spot where my opinion differs from yours is that I'd like them to can V and focus that product slot on supporting Premium regularly instead of Clan Collections.
Before the "Clan Collections did support Premium" reply happens I'd like to clarify to those people that each clan only got 3 new cards per ClanColl on average, and one of them was almost always a Grade 3 that did nothing while under a stride. This is what I'd like to avoid.
The comment section sucks cause you can say one thing and then somebody will accuse you of implying something completely different. It's best to ignore people like that.
With the last press conference they focused on dating how they want to focus on this game and actually put in more effort make me think what the heck were they doing before then
I think the reason people are going: promos, promos, promos is because they can ban overtriggers, they can make standard a slower format, they can somehow make 3 days of events into 2 with some weird time travel paradox machine... but if every playable deck can randomly require $150+ on 4 cards, it doesn't matter because you are going to have a bad time unless you just play with proxies which at that point i could just proxy the entire game.
I too like OT effects but some of the nation got the least favvy effects. My opinions are 1) new version/2nd brand of nation OT,crit,draw,front trigger effect. 2) nerf the power of OT from 10mill to 50k,same as the shield.
Do you think highlander is still a good choice in this meta ? With all the decks now riding up, I'm wondering if it's worth running some ride down pieces or if I should cut them completely
Also 3-card sets are the issue. If they want to make reprint set, just make it normal set. Not like 360 cardpool 3 cards per booster so we wont have messiah case where you get a staple card in numbers like... 3 per case xd

Overall??? I'm unsatisfied with the game. Standard is a joke, v premium is a dying format and premium is a stale piece of bread. Bushiroad keeps trying to be bigger than what they are and they are killing their golden goose.
This game unfortunately got overshadowed in our playgroup and it's hardly played since our local shops don't sell the newer sets. TCGplayer is an option, but honestly it got to the point where if a card is too expensive for us or they have low quantities (Looking at you Reveldress Tempest), we just utilize TopDeck Proxies for the decks we want to play. Lorcana may not be as good as V series Vanguard before Overdress, but at least our local shops sells singles and the game's community is growing. Other than MtG Commander, Lorcana is the only other game we're interested in. Yu-Gi-Oh isn't our cup of tea, and Pokemon isn't bad but still not our favorite, so Lorcana is the current game we play thanks to the current state of Vanguard. We also own DearDayz but with how much DLC sets costs on top of being behind the paper version, we just lost interest in that game as a whole. We still are happy to support the game, but only when Bushiroad gets their act straight and try to push for the game outside of Japan, it's not even in the top 4 TCG anymore as we now have competition for that 4th place, if not 3rd or 2nd place.
I still don't understand why over triggers are legal in premium. That should've been a day one format restriction

They should ban the OT but just ban the 100 mil not the effect. I like the effects.
